i dont know if you checked out the WHY server or not. I was doing some testing... let's say forward is 100%, forward left and forward right were also 100%. Side to side movements were 75% and backward, backward right and backward left were 50%.

At least that's what it seemed to me.

As far as I remember, they're running their Tweaked Runes Classic mutator on the server... bringing back pre-1.06 movement Wink.

Yeah that's sounds about right.  I did some pre-testing and 100%, 90%, 60% seemed about right; 50% for the backup was a bit forced.

I might have you come over to "Slaughty's House" the test server before we put it on; be good to see how it works in combat.

PS. Rune 1.01 didn't distinguish apparently between N, NW, NE; neither S, SW, SE.  Just the three basic axes "forward" speed, "lateral" and "retro".

I guess that makes the most sense.

Interesting, dude; that corroborates my independant research to the T.  I'd like to take the back-pedaling up to about 60% from 50%, though.

One quality of "rakWeaps", the breakable/knockable weapon mod on LCA, is that the weapons have become much more "opaque": when you strike those things in air and combat you get the sense you're hitting up against something, whereas in original Rune you swiped "through" weaps.  I take it TR wants to preserve that "transparent" feel for the sake of payload; that's where we depart.
