Reason for my apparent lack activity is not because in inactive, but because I play else where. I find that I like arnea servers more so that a 1 vs. 1 level on a DM server. None the less I still limit myself to six weapons. There are two option that I believe would be nice for a true low caliber arena. First would be to use all the original AR maps and just kill the larger weapons. This would be similar to our old low caliber DM (or do we still have that?) Another would be to take our current 1 on 1 map and modify for AR. First eliminate two of the arenas leaving only one for fighting. Make the area around the "waiting room." Personallly I like the second one.

Although I doubt this is possible you could make three arenas that function at the same time. If this could be so we could have nine players on at once without having to worry about lines.

Find us a server that can handle 9 and we need to keep the map able for non-HOV players. Sorry dude.

Well I didn't mean to actually open the server up for nine. I'm saying such a map's ideal player load would be nine. Two fighting in each arena with one in wait for each. When I brought this up I was assuming that this would indeed have to be for HOV. If we need to keep it non-HOV then there's no real practical solution for having an AR server. Guess I just have to keep on dreaming.

We started to tackle the Arena server idea in this thread(and a few others i couldn't find) but it hasn't taken off yet.

If you haven't downloaded the "Classic Arena" AR map from that thread you should check it out. Unter and I really liked the map concept but it's kinda ugly, we'd have to make our own edits to it.

We also brainstormed some ideas to make the lines move faster that would be easier to code. I really hope the idea comes to life...
