7 people capacity yesterday...at one stage there were 2 or 3 zomb/sarks...

ffa nearly whole day...lots of garbage lying on floor in big arena...lots of throwing (you get me everytime mano!!! )

and crash? 1 close to end: because someone's connection kept fizzing....

will keep testing..but atm

High traffic as in 'constantly' 12 players present playing hardcore DM?

My 'theory' might be 'bunk'. I've never said I was an expert on the subject. I've only said what I've personally experienced - on bigger, more loaded servers - and that is, that sarks (and to a lesser extent; zombies) crashes servers!

Fail to kick out a sark in time, and the server would crash... it has happened time after time after time after time after time, etc. etc. etc. But do kick a sark out in time, and the server would continue to run as if no sarks had ever put foot in the server.

sup y'all, i know low cal would *NEVER* do preemptive kicking like that to someone who uses a sark skin...we respect people's appearances, lol.

umm, i dont know if he'd like to be quoted, but i asked unter (YES!!), and he was happy with the sarks...so that stands at this time...

besides, we're all in this for fun and to learn something, and we respect each other, right?
so what's a crash, if it happens, between fellow low cals? it obliterates the scoreboard but we know who deserves our respect as players and who don't...its more fun for everyone to laugh goodnaturedly at the guy who moans about losing his frags...kinda bonding cos we've all been there and had cruel fate shove us one...

also, again i played quite a bit today (cant stay away from low cal!) and i tried to notice if there were crashes...i was trial pit rags all the time and there was 1 zombie in for most of the day...there were "heaps" crashes (2-3) towards the end of my playing time (ie circa 2 am eastern time), none earlier in the day...

compared to RoV DM (where i went for c.15 minutes and it crashed 5 times just in that time: ask ROVnemesis, muggy, etc who were there) low cal offers a very very sweet deal...so i can weather whatever...

ps i feel ashamed of using the big thingamijiggys and mucking up my low cal honed technique (yes yes stop sneering)...yea verily i strayed but i repent...lol...but if a newb like me can get 23-15 on my 1st time there(yes i have a sshot)..then i really cant go there unless its for laughs...but i shall now hit the showers...
btw it was...titillating...making valkyries moan and groan with my bigass sword...

Don't think I've said they should... it's definitely not up to me, and I'd be suprised if that was the case... I was merely pointing something out that particular day.

I do know, however, that I'd rather kick someone from a server (how many times it may take), asking them to rejoin with a normal skin, than having it go down on us (referring to that which was the Hail Suomi Perkele server, where I had been given the admin password to help keep order) in the middle of an intense hardcore deathmatch, where we struggle for the winning position, because of someone not caring.

Too many players? heh...

And why shouldn't one blame it on the sarks when, and for some reason I find myself repeating myself for the xth time, it's funny the server can run for maps after map after map after map, and then crashes as soon as a sark joins...

i'm sorry you have to repeat yourself for the xth time but it's because nobody in this neck of the woods is buying your theory. We keep our servers at a managable level and we rarely have problems.

Besides I've read that runegame thread a few times now and nobody's shown any evidence. Just saying what they notice.

You won't change our minds, we won't change yours so let's just put this topic to bed.
