"Mute player" command
One of the pet-peaves I had with Rune from the very first were certain over-enthusiastic chatters.

Now that we have our ID system, however, we can fashion a "mute #" command; where # is the ID of the player whose messages you'd like to stop receiving.

Would this be useful for anyone?

nice way to describe them. sounds like a decent idea but i doubt i'd use it to be honest.

i would bet others would find it useful though.

lol, one of the reasons I don't use other chat rooms is 'cause there's no swords... but I assume you are refering to spammers<?> yes?
I find it quite a stress release to lop off parts of the peeps I talk to! Very theraputic<SP?>!!

Lol; yeah I had in mind mostly the belligerent trash spewed by the kids who can't fight.  Sometimes I find myself avoiding the top 25% of my screen so I can concentrate on the game.

If it proves to be a quick fix I'll throw it on; and maybe you guys can take it or leave it after that.  It might prove useful in other ways.

If it's a server mute, whereas nobody playing can hear their garble I'd probably be more apt to use it.

Hilarious.

Yeah we can implement a dual-pronged command.  "ServerMute", for members only, actually stops a players ability to communicate with the server; "Mute", on the other hand, available to all, intercepts messages from that one source.
