That's all true, but I as born into a Christian family and had to learn about God, though I enjoyed learning about everything else, mainly science. Due to my study of my families religious beliefs as well as science, I have decided (in my own mind, just an opinion) that there isn't any sort of God or creator. Once I renounced my religion, I was assulted with harsh judgement and was alienated by everyone. Since then I have developed a strong....dislike for all forms of religion. I still respect others who so choose to follow their ways, and I would never dream of holding it against them or thinking less of them, I just wish to live my life as far away from religion as I can. I hate when people try to convert me or make me listen to their religious quotes, so that is why I am kind of shocked that I know and used a quote from the bible.
Boy that was alot to say! I hope I didn't offend anyone by my opinion, and I hope no of you think any less of me for my beliefs. I think we should all be proud of who we are and what we believe in.

On the other hand, through man's native virtue there have been irreproducible triumphs wrought through religion: triumphs of architecture, scholarship, science and music.

Today's unmanly Christianity should be distinguished from its Roman Catholic forbear: the church of the Teutonic Knights.  Catholicism should in turn be distinguished from its pagan Greek and Roman forbear, being the result of a Jewish coup in late antiquity.

Gentiles have been ensnared in a pathological guilt complex ever since, evinced in supporting the recent Neo-Conservatives' war vis à vis Iraq and Afghanistan; and previously in the disastrous WWII fratricide.

Actully the jew's isnt much differnt then the bible they just have differnt point of views of were things happend.

Maybe it was the constant attempts to make me feel 'guilty', akin to that mentioned above, that swayed me to agnosticism. Distrust of modern-day proselytising or just plain indifference, perhaps, but it wasn't all reactive.
