and seeing how i've spent >90% of my time on low cal...i just had to put it here...lol

anyway...who is unter? where is this mysterious almighty?
when did most people 'discover' low cal?
anybody know any other australians playing rune?

i've met perhaps 5-6 members now and been impressed by the instant camaraderie i feel...
so thanks for the good times so far and hope to see more...

As for discovering this place, the server's been around for an extremely long time. As I said, I used to play here about a year ago, and this server was pretty much the only one I would join. Had to quit after a bit though, because of the wave of idiots that would come onto the server.

When I reinstalled Rune a few weeks ago, I was glad to see the server was still going strong and had some new upgrades.

btw sometimes when i try to enter another server...it says that i need Halls o Val installed...though someone told me that it was just cos my ip was banned...funny i've never been to some of these places in my first week and yet....

plz shed light someone...i have to get hov right or not?

its not your ip in general but a section of ip's

for instance anything that starts with 60.*.*.* is banned and if your ip starts with 60.27.123.24 your screwed from that server.

etc. with any other ip banning

but if ur getting "need hov" it means the server runs on HOV (Halls Of Valhalla, multiplayer expansion)

Before thinkin that find out what kind of motherboard you are using. Most of the new cards are 8x AGP (aka AGP Pro slot cards) in other words you need a new board to handle the awesome strength. If just upgrading into a not so new card make sure you can handle 4 x AGP because that would be the card types you will still see cheap in electronic stores.

If you know your board. Go onto a few of the brand name forums and find out what works best with that card.

Just thought of something for you DanteER. If you are running Winblows XP there are some tweaks you may want to do to increase your speed and to bring your ping down.

Found here is a detailed description of somethings you can tweak on XP to improve system performance and game play.

Hope that gives you a hand in providing a better system.

Ummm yeah DanteER you may want SP1 installed and all the updates after that.

I suggest finding the network version of SP1 which is a file you get off the net. This in turn is a much faster way to upgrade the microsoft update takes forever. After you have that installed you will have to use the windowsupdate site to get everything else.
