Yea so um.. you may or may not be wondering why you havent seen me around as opposed to the every hour drop ins i used to do. Well its liek this. Recently i took out Rune to stick in a CD and, liek the topic implys , my PC starts to flip out on me. then all of a sudden, the little light by the disk try goes dark... and ever since then my PC fails to recognize the fact that there is a cd drive in there. Ive tried oppening up and reconnecting but that doesnt work.. any seggestions? I need them bad, im about to get a CD-less hacked version of RUne... im really feinding here

The CD drive is busted it seems, try a different one.

Check out this post on removing the CD-check; no need to get a hack.

A simple way to take care of it after you've upgraded to 1.07 is to change the following line in your c:\rune\syste\rune.ini file:

[Engine.Engine] 
    .
    .
    .
'CdPath=D:

That is, just put an apostrophe before your CdPath; this won't help you get the CD-rom back in order, but at least you can play Rune.
