We just had an abuse of the system...

Name of Preventer_from_fight; was just standing in line in the 1-on-1, purposefully blocking and taunting us. There were only minors and non-members on, so after asking him to move and warning him, we votekicked him out. Kid came back in, votedkicked me and Socketboy's newbie friend out of the game. Kept on leaving and rejoining, ended up kicking me out about three or four times. Dunno why he was picking on me, but that's life.


Definately think the Minors need some more protection here. Votekicking is a good system but it's abused far too often.

Perhaps if the expose command is still under construction, you could abolish votekick for the general public and allow it only for minors?


Thing is, with votekicking and booting alike, it's far to easy to just rejoin. Would it be possible to make a temporary ban, prevent them for joining for an hour, or a day?


Would also like you to run a check on this guy. Wasn't no newbie, he knew his stuff. Went straight to the 1-on-1 arena after spawning, purposefully blocking it; the name was pretty much a dead giveaway to begin with. Also knew how to votekick/leave/votekick; something that most people aren't aware of.

yes, and when he joined he said "I will prevent!" and bam. I agree that the system needs to be revamped as soon as time allows.

BTW, my friend said he joined the forum, but it said he couldn't post. He is a noob though so I'll try to figure out what he was doing wrong ....

I thinks Mano has made it so that newbies that join have to go through him to be allowed. For the matter of one person I shall remain from naming.

Just had another episode like last time. The fake Sker person was in arena; I noticed that he/she had an American flag rather then Sker's usual Canadian and pointed that out. Fake Sker got pissed at that and started votekicking me... Rhoedd booted him/her out but he/she kept coming back, votekicking me. Did it about three times before giving up; I left and re-entered before I was kicked out.

So. Any update on the Sker position: Minorship for Sker (a good guy anyhow, and overdue for sponsorship) and banning for this fake; as well as more protection for Minors, and perhaps the removal of votekicking for the general public?

Are we still waiting for the problems with Linux to be fixed here?

If Sker is interested in minorship, then I'll sponsor him. (I was also thinking if CheeSe is interested, I'd sponsor him too.)

My hands are still tied, I can't get into the server FTP since we switched to Linux. (I assume my account was lost during the OS Install.) That's crucial to get fake Sker's IP. I can navigate my way (barely) through the web admin using that Lynx browser, so I think I could ban him.

Both Sker and CheeSe are good stuff; been wondering when someone would sponsor them.

The fake Sker was online 'bout an hour or so ago; he/she did say something to us in-game so the IP should be recorded?

yeah, if he said something then the IP will be logged.

The only thing stopping me from sponsoring CheeSe and Sker is if they want to be sponsored.

Some people are happy with their peregrine status and leave it at that. If you guys get their word, let me know. I'll sponsor.

Update on the impersonation issue. Someone originally under the name of Mario is continuing to impersonate people, as well as votekicking the original person out of the server, and attempting to crash the server as well. (leaving and entering; was too slow to do much though)

Today impersonated Disturbed Alexander and attempted to impersonate Pencil...


Again, the only people who seem to be around when this sort of stuff happens is Minors. Today, was Eis, Pencil, and me when this was going on. Both regulars and minors are being abused, and we can't stop it. Any update for us? And can someone take care of this guy?

Its funny how he tried me... some people just don't notice my ping.

But really, the people that play the most are Minors, the people that get abused the most are minors and regulars (where the hell are youy guys ?), and what I see is "deal with it, they'll stop".... but dude, they're impersonating us and crashing the server. That's not something to ignore, people constantly crashing like that.

So, first of all, ban Mario. He's nothing but trouble, and he'll never be worth the time. I mean, what's there to do, though? You can't kick or nosafe these people, either.... it just titilates them.

I know a lot of the people with the authority to ban and stuff don't play at all lately, but at least do something to help the people who actually want to play ...

Okay, well my point is that I'm sick of playing on this server with these people, it was lame-free for a while and should stay that way. You banned BH and stuff but he obviously didn't fuck around on the server like these people are doing... so eventually I just won't bother playing for a while, this is disgusting...

(As you can tell I wrote these lines at many very different times so it makes no sense.)
