Unter den UebrigenAttn Members: LowCal Authentication
So you guys aren't left in the cold when we update the server, here's how you can prepare yourself for LowCal authentication.
In your user.ini file, located in c:\rune\system, add the following lines under the categories shown below:
[DefaultPlayer]
.
.
.
password=xxxxxxx
where "password=xxxxxxx" is your password for lowcaliber.com. In addition
edit the following line:
[Engine.PlayerPawn]
.
.
.
password=xxxxxxx
Due to certain limitations in Rune, the server may yet fail to recognize you automatically. If that's the case, issue the "pLogin" command. The pLogin command has three parts which you should issue in the following order, try:
1) "pLogin" by itself; if this doesn't work try
2) "pLogin + password"; if this still doesn't work try
3) "pLogin + username + password" as a last resort.
At the very worst, you may have to bind a key to issue pLogin when you get on the server; we're working on the automatic authentication process but have encountered, I believe, some native limitations in the Rune code.

Mr_FisterChanged the appropriate things in .ini but got nuthin when I joined server. tried plogin and pLogin and both were unrecognized commands.
as well as with name +pw after...
will try again but keep me posted.
p.s. sorry about "plogin" on the LCA... I think I cleaned most of it up hehe.

Unter den UebrigenI should have made that clear: LowCal Authentication will only go into effect after the update.
Look for it later on today.

NuTT98BTW I tried this @ slaughty's and I got an anonymous1 login.
I didn't try the manual logins though, didn't know them back then.

Manowaranonymous logs worked for me. you should be golden if you set the .ini file right.

Theoretically the info under [DefaultPlayer] should take care of that; that's your so-called "Player URL".
Rune doesn't appear to be transmitting it along with your login, which is why, I take it, passworded games don't seem to work with Rune.
Funny thing is: it doesn't fail to transmit it in all cases; so put it in there for good measure and resort to the pLogin only if you have to.

ManowarDamndest thing.
If you actually click link above the console on the website. (where it says Low Caliber Arena and has the local time) it actually doesn't make you login.
strange but a solution at that
