FaisonHECK YEA!!!

Sometimes there is an hour wait to get in the the arena and that sucks ( the wait not the arena). We used to have a low cal cycle but that went away.

This will kill some of the waith and allow more people to play. Make it Grand.

NuTT98Badass. You can set up a low cal cycle and UdU will have Arena and Asgard (hopefully very very soon)

Starmynehell yes, start up another one, make some low cal maps that arent just the arena, thats something I'd like to see.

Unter den UebrigenWe had a so-called "Low Caliber Cycle" up for a few months; the thing was always empty, lol.
If we could come up with a good solution for an additional server we'd be able to add it.

ManowarI remember Low Caliber Cycle having people in it from time to time. It was a good when the Arena was full. Low Caliber Hall, unfortunately, didn't get nearly as many visitors. As nice as those maps were, I dont think I ever got to play with anyone on them.

SHADYwell, as i recall it was something like a 2 meg dl, that was preatty discouraging. Maybe if you cycled more known maps at first and THEN went on to the more abscure ones...

That was actually the original set-up; but the result was invariable: we would get a couple tag-alongs for the basic maps and then
boom, empty on the final obscure one.
So then we switched to all basic but low-calibrized; and people rightly complained that the old maps were worn and thread-bare.
The only derivative LowCaliber which had something of a life of its own was Asgard; and that may have had more to do with the Conjure aspect. It was certainly singular, but not a fighting crowd.
We might go back to an expanded Asgard (were guys guys even around for Asgard?), with some passages inside the castle and a renewed focus on combat.

SHADYIs that a map or just the end level?
Thu February 27 2003, 09:36 AM
Unter den UebrigenBoth map and end-level; it had been specially prepared for DM with a twist: you would start randaomly at any one of the five pillars with a different weapon each time.
Live, edible fish as well.
