I took a screen shot and then added the LCC stuff in Photoshop. I can save the example everyone chooses anytime and in most common formats. I can send just the LCC face or the flattened image of the face and shield. If what I have done can't be imported into RuneEd or whatever will be used let me know so I can try something else.

Actually, Pencil, I'm with you completely. I despise that wretched excuse for a natural ugly shield. I hate heater shields. I'm not to fond of kite shields, either, but they are tolerable. However, they were designed to be used on horseback. Anyway, that thing in Rune is not a kite shield, but rather some cheap fantasy heater thing.

Did you know that kite shields were heavy enough that a strap went around your neck to help support the weight? Aside from the fact that I love round shields, I don't like the idea of not being able to quickly move your shield around (like, above your head).

If Rune even attempted to be realistic, you wouldn't be able to block anywhere nearly as quickly with the Dark Shield.

Okay, and here's something for everyone that insists that two handers would outperform a one hander and a shield in real life. Unfortunately, I have no video of such a duel, but this is explaination enough. By the way, these are neither fencers nor actors.

I like reound shields the most as well but I also like that Greek one that sort of looks like a violin or and oval with to 'c' shapes, one on each side.

I honestly do not like that Dark Shield that much either but it gives the LCC stuff a better composition. I am under the impression that the vector art one I was experimenting with was not meant to ever be considered for a in game shield. I thought of taking a round shield and putting LCC stuff on it and taking that 'hub' off it. I think that may look cool. (we will just say it is all metal . . . )

In case you are curious, Thorgrim, it's pronounced as if you said the words "row eh the great" all at once, only take away the last part "uh great." So, it's "Rho eth," with a hard "th" like in the word "this" and "that."

I have been converting many AR maps to low caliber weapons lately. I like the round one with the LCC cross. I hope this project isn't dead seeing iit shows the post before mine being made in march. :P

I'd still love to see some of these shields kicked out. Many of the people participating in the project no longer come around here though.

Well I'm going to attempt to revive this project. Last night after posting I managed to make a texture and import it into RuneEd. Unfortunately I'm new to RuneEd so thats as far as I got. Here a gif of the texture (real texture must be .pcx format to import):

I guess this will be my Christmas present to the LCC this year; I managed to finish the shield.

Now for the goodies. The first one is just the shield. The second includes the shield and a low caliber version of AR-Champions with the shield as shown in the screenshot. Enjoy.
