Hey thanks for the posotive feedback. I know I was not asked to do any of it I just felt like it. I am by no means saying that any of this would be a final draft. ANYthing you want me to change or attempt I will do when I can, that means also modifying the file sizes,resolutions, etc . . .

You can delete the pics if they are too large and I will resave them as smaller sizes (sorry about hogging space --- I admittedly did not see how large that thing was until it was past 60 minutes . . . DOH!!! *banging my head on the floor*)

Have at it. You'll not offend anyone. And if you do get a working shield, I'm sure we'll eventually incorporate it into the servers. At least I'd like to be able to have it in packages that you'd get with my maps.

I am not sure if the intent was to make a totally LCC shield or put the LCC stuff on the Dark Shield or both . . . I just mean that I have to stop messign with it for awhile since I have been going nuts with it. I just detailed the sword so it looks better but it is wasted because it will be so small on the shield. I just need to design stuff once in awhile.

Hey can you model the shield or try to take the one I did on photoshop and use that one for the game? I will make it any resolution you need ,etc just let me know. I do not want to use the one I [posted since it has some flaws I noticed. I did it rather quickly and forgot which layer I was on and there is some stuff I would fix.

Now by model do you mean skin? or do you want a whole new model of the dark shield to apply your design to or..?

Ya I think I can. I am somewhat of a noobat it, but I have plenty of connections that could give me a hnad if I get stuck. So sure' ill do it. Just gimme a nice big quality pic to work with. I can always resize etc. so don't worry about that or anything.

Would it be better to email you directly with pics rather than post them here? (I do not want to waste server space . . .) I would put lower res ones on post to show people, etc. I can save them in any format you need (I am almost positive since I have Photoshop).

I like the rougher ones with the blacker outlines. Seems more authentic to me.

Hmm. Maybe it's just my monitor's color settings, but the background color seems really weird and unnatural. Maybe it'll look different in-game. The fourth one looks the most natural, I think. Actually, I think I like it the best in all respects than the others.

I seem to favor the top right and bottom left sheilds myself.

I guess I like the bottom left most of all...

Obviously my topic went to crap, no one even cares about the poll and all me gets is dark shields a la mode. So be it, keep the bloody dark shield, I just liked taking advantage of the fact that the other 3 shields were a lot more LowCal, were all different, and all matched. Dark Shield fits in better with.... well the axe that is stronger than the goblin axe.

But no one cares , oh well.

I used so many f--king filters on them I cannot necesarily say I can remember what I did!!!! LOL

No I actually have a layer for each shield so I can resave them as necessary. I actualy like the 4,5,7 and would like to keep the look of the 4th with some more of the wear marks of the fifth. I was not sure you would like that dark outline but I agree it looks more authentic to me too. I will try to do that on later today and see what I get.

I SWEAR I tried to put the LCC stuff on a wood shield but it looked bad . . . I am only using the Dark Shield because it show off the LCC stuff better . . . My fav shield is still the viking metal one (resembles a Scottish targe without the spike in the center) Funny thing about that one that in the SP game a viking metal shield looks a bit larger on rags than in the MP game (unless you modified it).

Don't hate me for using the DkSh Pencil I am only trying to make the LCC stuff look as good as it can.

Here are the latest Dark shield ideas: I kept the #4 one (far left) and did 2 variants off of it.

AND for Pencil's benefit I TRIED to make the cross shield into a LCC cross one . . . not too good to me but you get idea (I know I did this before but I actually made stuff proportiional and perspective is not an issue as it was in other shot) I had tried to put the LCC sword/cross on the wooden shield and make the background the right 'red' but it looked BAD since I had to make the stuff so small to fit around the metal hub . . . sorry pencil

Agreed the fourth one is probably the best of the lot. Have you got them as a working model that is texture mapped or is the texture on the original being replace in the properties?
