When you download a map or something off a server, where does it go? I can't find them in the maps folder, and I ran a search over the entire Rune directory, but can't find anything. I'd like to play some of those maps on my own... is that not allowed, by default?

well yellow it can go all over the place, i usally save the map onto my desktop by selecting 'SAVE AS' on the download window. Then i move it to where it has to go.

Yellow they are encrypted in the cache folder. You look at the chache.ini file and match it up with the named file and change the extension and you will have that file.

Yah, Reap, but I'm not talking about when you download a zip off a forum or anything... sorry. I mean those automatic downloads Rune makes you do when you don't have the map the servers are running. It doesn't announce where it's saving it to, it just says "downloading 'DM-Map'", etc.

Hmm, cache folder? Bunch o' gibberish, uxx files. Can I change those to .run files without breaking anything?

They should have all the downloaded stuff auto put in your folders so you can keep it and not always have to redownload unless the server specifies it doesn't want people to be able to....

There is a program at www.hrw.vze.com (check downloads) which "extracts downloaded files" like maps for you from the cache. Not sure if it works! BTW, I play in 1.00 (ya, ya...lol) and I've been using some of the maps from this forum and they are great!

I just downloaded it and it doesn't work with my mac. Oh well. Manowar, The maps I'm putting up are Diamond, Water Arena, and MortalArena. They all work in 1.00. It's fun to see how people react to a map like Water: it's so small with no big weapons (ah..., duh..you know that) which everyone expects lol! GravPass I've seen on other servers in 1.00land. I think the others posted here aren't compatable. I like them because they are small (fast downloads for players) and relatively simple (fast fightin'), but well done. So make some more!! hehe.

nvm dude, after it worked (supposly) it messed up my dmn rune, so i had to reinstall it everyone stay away from that FAKE file.
