I've been playing around with Milkshape and created a new mesh for my winebottle, but I can't seem to figure out how to import the little bastard. It's frustrating as hell. Any ideas on what I'm missing?

First you have to export from Milk to RuneSuperCoolModel or something similar. Then open RuneEd, click on the Browser windonw in the right upper corner and scrool down to Meshes ...and do your thing.

Whops, my bad.
Use Skeletal instead.

[Edit] Btw, how do you intend to use your new model: as a substitute mesh for the stein (subclass), or you wanna create a new class?

as a new class I think, yet with the same properties as the stein. Drink, heal, then throw and break, but gotta make sure I can get it in first. Red Face

Nice, but you better subclass the stein (much easier for you to set the desired properties) then in DefaultProperties choose 'Skeleton' scroll down to SubstituteMesh and choose your new mesh.
This way is easier and quicker.

I'd say ignore it.
[Edit]
See bellow in the attachment is an original stein (mesh+skel). You can use it if your model refuse to work.

I have a working stien already it just seems that i don't know how to get the wine bottle mesh into rune so that i can use it. I go to skeletal then i select objects. Then I try to import. A window open to "Import skeletal mesh"
the 3 feilds r name = wine01 group = none package = objects. I then click impiort. yet i can't seem to find the mesh at all. any ideas?

Yup, something's wrong with it; I couldn't get it to work in Pygmalion or RuneEd.
Try using the stein I posted and see if it's diferent from the one u used.

Try to use the stein in its original state: export it from Milk without any changes and try to get it into rEd (remember to change Name & Package). Build up your model and try it in the game. If it's working go back in Milk and modify the mesh step by step. When you'll get stuck (if you do), at least you'll know why; I performed the same "ritual" in the begining lol
