You guys and your mapping got me craving for some of my own mapping. Well here you go. It was something I made up over the evening. Still adding but ran out of ideas. Oh one thing no weapons are on it either. Just one spawn point for you to tour around. Tell me what you think. Could someone point out how to change the texture of a mover. Also how to get a sky box to work properly.

Beats the hell out of me.

I will go in and get some weapons in there and see what shakes. I am pretty sure I didn't use any HOV textures.

OK OK
I have the map up to par with what I wanted so far. I validated it and everything should go.

This is one of my best I think thus far.

i actually like this one Eek, but it does need a skybox.

and the stairs and the overhang to the second level feels forced; maybe incorporate those columns in the bottom level.

Ok I have done a total revamp and change. I added a little something extra because of a great idea Manowar gave me. I also included high cal weapons for the fact that Manowar also gave. I changed textures and I have a skybox in place. The mover is still giving me a hassle to get the texture to stay put. But anyways I hope you guys like the map.

Beer I need one!
Well maybe a vodka and coke, tall glass.

Sorry about it being a large file.

Internet Explorer fucks up the whole computer seems to follow.

Before reformatting. What have you installed recently then uninstall that maybe it might clear things up.

recently?...i have tried to put on some weird 3rd party tweaks for banshee....and some weird tweaks also for modem...to squeeze a few more drops outta my connection...

must be one of those...

well, i'm anaesthetising my computer now...she'll be happier this way...she'll wake up the way she was before, hopefully...

Nice mid, Nice.

Skybox is looking great, catacombs underneath Thumbs Up

Before people cry blasphome on me for suggesting that he put the High Cal weapons on there the reason is simple. The majority of the Rune community uses those weaps, so if you want to see it actually used you better cater to those folks. And if you host it yourself, just toss up the ol' LowCalibrizer®.

Thanks once again. This is my pride of mapping thus far. I am going to always look to prefecting it.
Ya sorry about that thing with you mentioning high cal weapons. I should have explained myself more.
Silly thing was I was trying to get the whole DM-Ruin map look. I guess I came out with a little more then what I expected.

I need to get that damn mover textured properly.

Yarrr I got lost in der maze in da basement!!
hey with that mover what you need to do is this....

1) Make what you want your mover to look like out of regular brushes (anything!) This is when you must make your textures like ya want 'em.
2) Under the add/remove brush buttons are brush intersect/deintersect. make a cube bigger than your mover(to be) around your mover(to be) and then intersect brush...
3) now your red brushshape will have the same shape and textures as that mover(to be) when you add a mover, and whatever shape ya want Smile thas how i made my diamond which has nowhere to move yet hehe.
4) a tad wasted as I wrote this so reply if ya need anything else Smile
