lo dante jag here. heres what i think well rune has a retail and a "halls of valhalla" expansion right well maybe just maybe the server is running a Halls of vallhalla capable server then the problem might be is the other players who is connected to the server without the "HOV" expansion which may cause inconsistesies resulting in a "crash" or the server is not HOV and vice versa. well since sark is an "expansion" character/skin well thats what i think lol. or they just hate ur sark skin lol...lol....lol....lol. I was there when you were told that Dante, and it's news to me. Maybe Unter can shed some light on it, but for the time being I'd keep using your sark skin because I know that you're fond of it, lol.  | |||

...why the people of the 420s horde spent a lot of time testing this, why it's been "widely" discussed at the RuneGame forums, why Lär created a Nix The Undead mutator (which will pick a normal skin for people entering as sarks [and zombies!]), why some servers disallow people to use sarks as their skin. It's funny how you can play map after map after map without a server glitch at all... and then a player using a sarkskin enters the server, and all of a sudden; the server crashes. I've been there, and done that (seeing it happen) numerous times! IMO, sarks are only good for two things: 1) being annoying as hell with their annoying sounds. 2) increasing the risk of servercrash. EDIT: Jaguar_Blade, the sarks are not "expansion" skins; they've been in the game (more or less officially) from the beginning. | |||

*sniffle sniffle*  I like my Sark Axe wahhhhhh, why you so mean to us poor Sarks>? Is it because of our pointy heads? I am confused as to how a diff skin could crash a server>???? All they are is a compilation of diff sounds/textures...correct? How could that crash the server? The answer is probably too technical for my poor Sark brain .PS I've never seen a server crash when it's just Sarks in the ring...I say blame the old man skin hehe . | |||

hey, i know its not personal... that server crashed once while you were there Soren, but then again it crashes even when i use the trial pit ragnar and noone is using a sark... should i be sorry for having some fun and experimenting? hmmm... does it crash more often? come to the server and I WILL USE THAT "ANNOYING" >expletive deleted< SARK SKIN FOR YOU...  when you have a CT/MRI scan, thats the same amount of radiation as going on an airplane...and radiation increases the chances of getting cancer...so would you stop having scans like that? wait that was a tangent...doh you're definitely more knowledgeable about this than i am, soren, but i played le fisteroso several times over the last week and there was a crash once...i played as a sark skin several times with midknight and many more and did it crash...? gee i cant remember...but let me see how it goes for a few days okay?  besides, if it crashes, whats so heinous about that? i didnt kill any babies!!! (seriously i've delivered some) if anybody wants me i shall be in the corner. | |||

Dudes, a crash is a result of entering and leaving the server. Suiciding causes crashes so does entering and leaving a bunch of times. And also because the server is Winblows technology. Here is something for you Soren. "If the sark skins caused crashes, wouldn't you think that there would be an offical patch". hey I got my MRI on cd from me hospital!!! love it fer arrrrt! Cost me $40 but ya gotta love Canada!lol!!!! hey long story short... I have used none but this skin for a loooooong time (the beginning) and have had no more crashes than any1 else>>>>>>>>! | |||

yeah its slomo even for me w/o w33d... sorry to hear about the herniations...gotta be careful...they can come back to bite you several years later, along with strained muscles... hey, do some physio...and let me say that any neuro/ortho surgeon who assures you that that kinda injury can be cured 100% with surgery is a bit of a...quack... so watch out and take care, dude.... strengthen the muscles and dont strain at rune...lol | |||

Rune is the least of my worries... I ride a BMX still lol. Admission: not as hardcore as before surgery lol. My recovery is at least 95% of what I was b4, but most of that is thx to my nuerosurgeon... He kicked ass! I was outta the hospital in 2 days!(part his skill part my Mom rolled high stats for my constitution  )But yes (as Yoda would say....) "careful I am, for wise in the ways of debilitating injuries I am" No more moshing wahhhhhhh! Injuries suck | |||

aye injuries often create a "barrier" to performance..."will i be in hospital again" "no i better not do that"...its nigh impossible for injury to inspire us to be better or to be more courageous all the time... good job your neurosurgeon but i think its your upbeat optimistic personality that really did the recuperative job.... ack, someitmes i wish i was of elven/dwarf/frost giant descent with a touch of halfling...then my stats would be horrendously high... but i've learnt to be content with my goblin/troll/puny mouse stats... lol'ness... | |||

All I know is, that whenever a sark enters a server with a considerate player load (more than LCA) the server crashes more or less in a flick of a d!ck unless he's booted! | |||

Read that thread.. sounds like a great debate, lol. But we at LCA don't have major problems with server crashes. Yeah they happen every now and then but it's not like other servers I've been on. All's I'm saying is anyone that's used a sark skin in the past should keep using them without worrying about it. Crashes are few and far between for us. | |||
