oh, why this map?...my opponent refused to budge from under the porticullis and i lured him halfway out so he got squished so very cheaply...hilarity...

anyway, another opponent and i chased each others tails for an eternity before i dropped accidentally with a dwarven battle sword on his noggin...

the above post referred to the vent map...now its on to widowmaker...yet again suicides are happening thick and fast...

and still not LCA...so hmmmm...is it lca? or am i hoodwinkled? but it did start lca back in vent for me...

We have a second machine up, that's for sure; question is: is it an Arena we want? If so: name some maps.

For some reason the arena server shows as unnamed in all the gamebrowsers I use. As far as maps go, Arena of Champions is the most favored one and it's allright. I have a metric assload of custom maps here somewhere...I'll have to weed through em and get back with ya. I still say ya'll should check Kali out for a chatroom...BIO* has been there for years and it beats the shit outta IRC. http://www.kali.net/

as a bit of objectivity as someone somewhat new, in case you want this class of input, i think arena of champions is no fuss, no gimmicky weird platforms or jumping vents and creepy alleys....simple and hopefully sweetly elegant like low cal...
but then again i'd rate arena below some other things perhaps worth trying: sarkball?, team dm? i havent been around long enough to know whether these were tried enough in the past, but now that most people have nice computers and have been around for a while now, these might be worth a try (again), no?
but surely arena is not as fluid as low cal server itself in terms of fluidity...i came from several fun-filled rounds where improvisation got us hilarious enjoyment and good feelings of the rune experience...but i understand both servers will be operating at the same time...so perhaps keep it "on demand"? varying from arena to CTT to member-exclusive whatever, even co-op i hear suggested, (i'd be eager for some of that, please!!)

btw lagmeat, i was there when some guy called you "cheating" by using a shield and low cal weapons; of course he was holding a mighty big thing in his hands (no, not that, think again you seedy seedy person!)
