I'm finally making yet another map. You'll spawn in a little room, drop drop to a larger room, grab all your weapons and shields, and go down into the arena, as normal. But, when you get down into the room, there's a shallow pool of lava that makes up the entire room, whcih will weaken you slowly preventing too many kill in a row, making it a bit more fair and interesting. However, I ran into a problem. I have no idea how to make lava... If any one could help, it would be greatly apprectiated. I'm almost done it aside from that one thing. Thanks.

Use a sheet brush, that will set up a seperate zone. Make sure that the sheet encompasses the entire area that is to be the pool of lava. make sure there is enough space between the floor of the pool and the top of the lava usually about 6 to 12 is enough what what your planning.
Next select a lava texture that you'd like to use. I recommend setting texture to "unlit" in the textures properties, gives it a more lava look. Then place a ZoneInfo actor in the new zone. You may have to resize the ZoneInfo via the drawscale in properties. This is so that it doesn't overlap into other zones(if it does overlap, those other zones will take on the properties of the ZoneInfo).
In the ZoneInfo's properties goto the ZoneInfo tab and find bPainZone, DamagePerSec, and DamageType. Set bPainZone to true, DamagePerSec to some small number like 2 or 3 or people will die quickly, and DamageType to fire.
That should set it up like you'd like. Only thing to remember is, as hot as lava is most things burst into immediate flame upon contact. Maybe a poison pool would be more along the lines of a gradual damage.
Let me know if that helps or if you have any questions.
Or a pool of alcohol . As soon as you get your first wound it starts seeping into you. You get more and more drunk and it gets harder and harder to control your character. That would be more fun than lava. Buuut, harder I would guess too.

Well, here's it so far... Please keep in mind I'm going to moving around and changing a lot of stuff, and no items (except torches and one rune) are placed in yet. Special thanks to Fais for helping me with that lava. (I'm sticking with lava because that was the way I was actually told to make it. I was told to make an area with slow painful lava) The name of the map may also change.

Its Awesome TeT! I like the idea.... Even though IM sure it would be alot more fun if there was more than one person playing lol. anyways, Great job...
Actually, no it wasn't at first, but I kinda like it like that, so I added torches by those ledges so you can drop down there in case you forgot a weapon, and grab one.
Regarding the Second Picture:
I noticed that already, and already fixed it.
