Remember..... anything IP based may/may not affect people who have LANs in their houses.... like me!
I don't know the particulars, but I do know ya don't wanna give too much power to Ms Carage hehe.
He's a berserker in real life so no corrupting him in Rune Smile.

actually, having tried a bit of head ball and sarkball..
it's looking like sarkball might be more low cal friendly, without needing to tweak low cal weapon's severing and beheading ability for headball..

Main problem with sarkball is the AI is rediculously shitty.

btw, being half-serious but why not make the rune of spoils have a factor like in the "roadhouse" map, where you might actually accidentally die from using it, lol,
or blow up into little pieces...tempting fate?
i think i'd like to see that more than the previous "skill-reward" i mentioned earlier this thread...

and yeah, that ffa ring might need some rune re-balancing..its hard to see discretion when you're on a high of butchery, but hope this TwEaKing might be considered..
now over to fais, mano and middie who were discussing it a bit on vent..

another thing: about the limb powerup...i was thinking it'd be hilarious that you actually eat it and get a temporary boost in health or something...but which disappears or something after a time...or a bloodlust, in short but that one would need a high rune quota to keep streaks down and fair, which is what it naturally is...
i just feel sometimes theres always 'killing' runes but not enough quick low requirement 'healing/helping' runes...but this might get abused..

(would need much effort; but throwing it up to see if its possible)...let's bounce ideas, thats how i can usually help out...

I would like to see the stats made easier to look at. As it is, you have to go page by page looking for your name unless you are at the top. Perhaps a modification that would make you able to jump to the page with your name would be possible. Could someone do that?

A search bar and individual stat pages for each and every ranked man is in the near future. Thumbs Up

Argh! I missed that one post, and not even the entire post, but just that part. I swear.

for the limb powerup, mano (Beer) and i bounced some ideas about a movement boost (150%?) requiring say 2 kills to powerup, and lasting 15 seconds or thereabouts..

limbs are hard to pickup in ffa, and therefore abuse doesnt seem so likely...
more tactically interesting than a simple 'heal/health' boost which doesnt matter much, given the mushrooms are close by and ffa you wanna go flat out anyways...
and limb severings aren't all that rare it seems, with all the shorty work these days..
bonus is that it doesnt seem too divergent from general game dynamics..

oh i can see it now, 7 hyperactive squirrels hopping all over the place, lol..

[edit] i wonder if this'll make the shorty even more popular than it already is?

Fantastic; tell you what: we'll make limbs and heads edible, and continue perhaps with the DwarfBattleSword conversion.

The bonus Rune power will be taken from 20 down to 15 or even 10.

Thanks, Fais; still in the Canyon for a day or two.  Did you end up going brush or object?

Brush. A little large but that's because of the custom textures I used. The rotation of the cylinders is slowing up completion. I'm not sure how to get them to stop on a facet. Maybe something like triggers for each facet or scripting a random variable to show a facet. I still got to fool around with it moreit's got me stumped.

I imagine we'd have to go to script for that; when can tell it to rotate x amount based on a random number.

I'm not sure if this may have been brought up sometime before, but how's about Ragnar loses speed with low health.

For instance, a player with under 33% health would run 66% of the speed of the guy with full health.

That's fascinating, Mano; it was brought up in the context of an RPG type mod, with diminished hitting power to boot.

What do you think?

I'm not sure about the diminished power... But either way, it'll need some heavy testing before we do any sort of release.

This is not so much a mod idea but....
How hard to incorporate the players rank under the players name, like right under minor/member or some such?
Easy reference for the curious and would make the rank more noticable to new and old alike.
