Our rather liberal policy on clans has changed.

In order to prevent clan dillution, mass defections and problems with conflicts of interests that the club has experienced in the past we will no longer allow members to be in another club/clan/horde.

A new system will be implemented within the week and it will be as follows:

Officers: Officers have full rights on the server over members, associates, minors and non-members. This includes the ability to kick, nosafe, and mute.

Members: Member privileges will remain virtually unchanged.

Minors*: Minors will not be able to kick, nosafe, mute et cetera. Nor can they be kicked, muted, nosafed by members. Minors will continue to have access to the Red Carpet. (*Note: We have no Minors currently, the spot is reserved for future use.)

Associates: Associates are seen as mere diplomats from other clans/clubs/hordes. Like minors, they won't be able to kick, be kicked, nosafe, et cetera. The main difference between Associates and Minors is that Associates will not have access to the Red Carpet. '

We will not recruit Associates. All members will have the option of joining a different club/clan/horde thus dropping their status to Associate.

We realize we have a few members that are also involved in other clubs/clans/hordes. We're giving those members one week to decide what they want to do. If the member chooses to become an Associate, there will be no hard feelings on our side and you'll still be welcomed on the forums and the server.

A no response will be taken as an Associate.

Neat idea. Glad I never joined any clans... LCC was definitely worth holding out for. Actually, it's the first real organization I've joined... I've never worn a tag.

if some clan member were to reach agreement with his/her clan leader that he/she can doff clan tags on lca server and don those tags off the server, what status would be assigned to aforesaid person?

I'd hope nobody would go through all that trouble anyway. Even so, we have members that browse and occasionally post at other Rune forums so I'm sure we'd figure it out eventually.

In fact, something as devious as that would probably have them lose Associate privileges too.

It's not really about the tags, it's about the three problems mentioned above. These problems have plagued LCC in the past. Think of this as a pre-emptive action.

I will drop the Disturbed tag, and clan affiliation. If this is to be the LCC policy, then I will obey it.

I will also add that I like the structure of the new hierarchy system. It seems as if the LCC is becoming more organized.

i spoke a bit with bloodhunter...and the impression i get is that perhaps some of our european friends dont really check the forums, because english isnt always their preferred language...often unfortunately for people like myself with limited linguistic capabilities..

so as a result, they might get on the server often but kinda skipped over this thread, or else they dont understand clearly...

which is a real shame...but totally understandable...

anyways, i urged him to drop by the forum and at least post an acknowledgement...
