Don't dis the program man. Photoshop is the cherry on top of the cake. It is the best in the west, east, north and south.

I can tell ya the leap from photoshop 5 to photoshop 7 is a big one. I should've upgraded to 6 when it was out but I was so comfortable using 5.

I wish I still had PS5 because PS7 pisses me off.

PS6 & PS7 deal more with vector/bitmap images and the tools got shuffled around. A few got deleted but there is a make up for them in the toolbar and on the presets. To know what both feel like and is a lot cheaper, purchase Photoshop Elements 1 or 2. Elements is designed for the newbie and someone that isn't into professional photo editing. It has most of the same features and it's layout is easy to use.

Yeah, I am going to go with Mid on this one. Although photoshop is not the most intuitive application, it is still far more advanced than any others on the market (those we can afford that is....hehehehe).

Yea, I was never any good at image editting (Flash is my thing), and I guess since I was used to Corel Photopaint (which I find a lot easier to use), the leap was even greater

lol, part of my job involves "marketing" ideas and information to people... with pros and cons of course...so i better pick up some of that crap...

I just exploit the exploiter. HEHEHE So is it a bad thing? Yes and No. But still I don't use anything that I do have to make a profit. I just have them to learn from. How else is someone to get a job in this fast pace world of technology.

Speaking of using big-time programs for educational purposes, I think my ActionScript learning is coming along quite nicely. Now, what I'd like is some ideas on a Flash game I could try to make.

Please, know something about the capabilities of Flash before posting ideas, as the more radical ideas are extremely hard (if not impossible) to pull off.

A multiplayer game (over the net) is way out of the question... I've only seen 2 or 3 other games that have went to the trouble of writing network code in ActionScript.
