Well, I had to make an ignorant newbie topic sometime, didn't I? Thought I'd introduce myself to the people who'd been splattering my blood all over the arenas...

Hello... I'm YellowHair, firstname currently Eirik, but I wouldn't count on it staying the same for very long. Sister to Rhoedd, you can blame him for my presence here... been playing Rune for about a week or so, though I haven't really played the single player much, and don't think I ever will. I just like playing online, it's so rare you can find a semi-realistic sword-fighting game... and half the fun is chatting to other people while playing.

lol, we've never seen a female skin in the arena, s'all...
co-op play is a good way to kinda experience the single-player online...head over to runegame.com and follow the links...its a bit buggy though...

I moderate at a forum that has about 1000 members (that's a lot of idiots to watch over), but most of them aren't active... and for some reason the female/male ratio is really uneven, I estimate it's something like 40/1... dunno really.

The forum is based on Lord of the Rings, not Rune or any other game. This is the first game-based forum I've ever joined.

I'm familiar with those two books as well, very good.

I'm not a hardcore gamer, I usually just pick one game and work on that for a couple weeks or months, then get bored and look for something else. Never played Quake or Counterstrike, though I did play Diablo2... the current games I'm playing with are Rune (only online) and Operation Flashpoint.

I might play Rune longer then usual, because it looks like I've found some pretty decent people to play it with, doesn't get boring as fast as with computer players.

No... the site I'm from is lotr.uk. Pretty decent site, though there's too many teenage girls hanging around.

I'm familiar with TORN, visit there occasionally, but never joined up.

Her forum is for discussion about the movie, mainly. It's a bunch of teenage girls drooling over Orlando Bloom and Viggo what's'isname.

Oh yeah, and they have a lot of spam there.

Don't listen to Rhoedd, he never visits the place. Though he is right about the teenage girls drooling over everything, it's my job to clean up after them, and take out the spam...

I have a deep sympathy for all mods and admins... even those who throw weapons from behind...
