well...you all know that i haven't been getting much playing time in for the last month or more...but i just found out today how bad things have gotten in my life. i'm in a poetry class, and in that class is my now ex. we were told to go home and write a poem, a confessional poem. and seeing as how i was going through quite a bit with my ex, i thought i'd write mine about her, and be "the cool guy" and read it in front of the class...well, i did, and now several days later, she is transferring to another high school, and i'm on the verge of expulsion, here's the poem...

I’m Done

We used to be so great
I could tell you everything, and I did.
But you fed me nothing but lies.
You were there for me, but you weren’t
You never were, you never wanted to be.
You pulled me away from my friends
I should have listened to them
Instead I refused to see the obvious.
And in the end there was nothing to soften the blow.
You used me, abused me, and treated me like a tool.
I wasted months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds worrying.
I refuse to shed any more tears over you.
I can no longer stand putting up with your constant bullshit,
You cold, callous, lying, cheating alcoholic bitch.
This has been built up for way too long
Finally I’m able to get it out.
I hate you for what you’ve done to me.
I want no sorries, good byes, dirty looks, or tears
Because you will get none from me.
Just think how good you had it, and then how you won’t get it back.
Tell me how it feels now knowing that I don’t care.
Fuck it, I’m done.


a lot of built up shit in this poem, but i never thought it would cause anything like it has.

A lot of pain there, man; but what's done is done.
It is a confessional poem - you should be expressing yourself and no-one should be able to judge whether it's overboard or not. Only your conscience will do that. A lot of rock bands have similar lyrics and sentiments.
I guess it was perceived as a threat?

For some reason the song adam sandler sings in the wedding singer about his ex fiance' linda comes to mind.

I agree with Dante. "The Man" probably thought you were gonna do something drastic to her - hence the transfer and verge of expulsion.
