First of all, it's official, there WILL be a low caliber Viking Raid server called "Low Caliber Raid". It will run to the following specifications:

Low Calibrated (Level 1 & 2 weapons)
Auto Pick Up = Off
Weapons Stay = Off
Round Time = 15 minutes
Map Cycle = VR-LastInn, and VR-TeamShips
Runes = Disabled
Powerups = Disabled
Max Players = 12

If you have adverse opinions about the settings, let me know.

Secondly, to those of you interested (everyone, hopefully), what you should do is organize yourself a team of people to play with. Teams should consist of 4-6 people. List their names and give me the name and means of contacting the team's "Leader" or "Contact Person", so we can organize games. This server will NOT be fun without adequate players (at least 6, preferably 8, 10, or 12). When you have your team together, post the names on this thread, as well as time availability/restrictions or anything else that'll be helpful.

Also, to those who designate themselves as team Leaders, make sure your entire team has downloaded and properly allocated the files contained in VikingRaid10.zip.

Sorry to say that I am adverse to one thing you chose, 'Weapons Stay=Off'. I haven't played Viking Raid at all yet, however with so many people, I doubt weapons will be in "surplus", I suppose, and it would be nice if the bastard in front of you didn't take your only chance at fetching your Goblin Axe because you were a wee bit slow/behind. Just an opinion, I suppose it can't hurt to put it on, ja ?

About teams, to be honest, 'Manowar, Midknight, Pencil, WoOdY' (basically the BF1942 crew ) sounds like an adequate team to me. Would be awesome if it could work out that way.

I got the mod the other day, it should be installed (I didn't bother with a readme or anything, just copied over and ditched it; only hopes are that I needed not to edit any *ini's in the process), so I'm good to go whenever.

On Vent the other day, your comment said "Viking Raid soon" or something...did you guys ever play? I left early since WoOdY has a little tornado problem (his last words were "If you don't see me in the next 3 days, I'm dead"...how quaint).

So, basically if we're interested we get a team of 4-6 people and appoint a team leader and all that.
But, is this team expected to be playing at certain times, because if I was in a team it'd be pretty difficult for me to show up at certain times...
And, do teams need to consist or members, or can pergrines or other people not registered at Low Caliber be a part of a team, too? I have some friends that may be interested, I'll have to talk to them if so.

I would assume teams could be constructed of both members and peregrines. It would probably be better to pick people who visit the forum frequently.

Yeah, I also would imagine structured teams would make getting together slightly more difficult.

My guess is that 95% of the time, teams would be impromptu.

Yeah, but it would be awesome to setup scrims and stuff I think, based on everyone's availability. Maybe even a league or something. It would give some sort of commitment to actually playing to win, instead of just fucking around (which is alot of fun too.)

I would say teams can be anybody, and actually I would think ranking in some raw talent from outside might be apt... could draw in more members for LCC.
