i actually crashed Rune, (not on the net, just loading up a map on my PC), by fighting way too many zombies at once, lol.

hehe, when you start noticing the meshes getting very very stylised...thats about when you should stop summoning...although you crashed on an individual private game, whoa

wow dante that is truly awesome. What are you running as a video and processor. How do you get to summon like that? Zombies are the greatest.

its just a radeon 8500 on athlon 1800xp...very average drivers, heck even my ol' glide/banshee combo worked about the same...
notice the mesh complexity dropping to about 10% the more you summon...

and yep, screw direct 3d for me, im gonna go opengl...so frikking dark though...
i might put a screenshot of those visual blinds-effect i see on the low cal emblem in arena and in fais's stronghold map (awesome things he's done), although i agree with unter that they nearly always occur when i come into arena from another map such as hilder, etc.

IMO, i think opengl works best with the unreal engine, whilst d3d/glide works well with the quake and half-life engines...
