I'm possibly looking into a cheap domain for myself. Just a main page with my resume and a subdomain for an easy to use forum to keep in touch with family, so nothing special.

Been shopping around a bit; nothing's jumped out at me. Any suggestions?

Umm, I don't know how www.portland.com (I think that is it... ) is. I know for free it is good. Also www.50megs.com is free and it is a pretty decent domain name wise. whateveryouwant.i8.com or 5u or a couple of others. As far as just the domain, try http://www.dot.tk/ Free still I think. Catch is if you want it for free there has to be like 30 visits a month. But I think it is pretty cheap anyhow.

the best free hosting site i ever been was Web1000 you get 50mb free space for free hosting. fast ftp and a few ftp server, no pop ups,adds and more included
you also have a HUGE selection for your .name like mine is ReaperCreeper.FinestStars.Com u can have reallyrules.com and lots lots lots more.

for 2 examples

ftp address: ftp.web1000.com

ftp address: ftp2.web100.com and u can go up to ftp9.web1000.com i use 9 because the others r sometimes slow, because alot of users r on those lines.

I want it to be as professional as possible as this is where my Resume will be posted. .tk and .ca would be cool for something to mess around with, but I did it through bravenet.

btw, it was $4.95 a month if you paid for 5 years , i just did $6.95 a month for one year.
