Or, at least I think I found a way to around it. This is a long read, so for those of you who don't really care, but want to know the fix, scroll down to "THIS IS THE FIX!", but for the rest of you...

Remember my "fast-forward bug", as I liked to call it? Well, I believe I've found a way to work around it! First, a little background as to what we thought it was and how I "fixed" it...

There were pretty much two views of what was happening with it. Mid had thought all along that it had something to do with my Video Card, and I was hoping he was wrong... I can't get a new one! Baig on the other hand was thinking it was something wrong with my ini files, so I tweaked the heck out of them, sent them to Baig, he tweaked the hell out of them and it all didn't work!!! (Plus he knows my admin password now!!! AAAHHH!! Damn you Baig! )

Anyways, after this didn't work I'd pondered on it a little more and Mid's original thought seemed to make more and more sense - it wasn't just the gameplay that had sped up, it was the entire game! (Ex. The menu animations played about 1.25 times faster.)

However, since I'd already downloaded new drivers and such for my video card, Mid and I were totally perplexed as to why it was still being a ... doo-doo head.

Now, before I get to the fix, I must warn you, I found this entirely by accident and it is possibly the dumbest fix ever, but!!

Play another game that makes use of your video card and modifies your resolution.

I was playing Sacrifice on 800x600 resolution, while my desktop is 1024x768 (if that has anything to do with it) right before I switched to Rune and it worked perfectly. Shocked that I didn't have to use the 'slomo' command to correct my speed, I noted what I had been doing. Sure enough, by running Sacrifice before I start Rune works every time now!

*Huff huff* Now my fingers are all tired and stuff, so I'm gonna stop typing. One final note though:

well u could have just totaly delete it including its registry entries. or u could have just total wipe ur old drivers and simply install the new ones. or u could have gotten an untidy registry so i recommend u get a registry cleadner/ defragmenter like "fix it ultilities" (actual name of the program) on the net. for what i read i think u got a egistry prob since playing other games may alter the registry especially video card settings thst how they change the "resolutions" so in other words clean ur registry of old rune files and other "miscallaneous" invalid stuff.

PS get nvidia graphic cards much more reliable.

oh get a NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 its not expensive

I can't get a new video card, this is a laptop. The vid card in here is an NVidia Geforce 2.

really sorry i didnt know that. well try registry cleaning itll help out a lot just watch what ur deleting. it helped me

For some reason I didn't think Rune edited my registry... is that true or am I talking out of my ass?
