I suddenly remember why I joined your server last night. It said "Omegus Team War". I co-created the guild, "Brotherhood of Omegus" [BOO], so naturally, I was curious...

So what's the deal? Is Low Caliber Club a clan? A loose guild? Or is it just a place to hang your hat, and play Rune arena matches?

I started to play Rune again a few months ago, but I quit after I saw what the community had developed into. So yeah...

Hi, Eisregen. Just out of curiosity, what do you think the community has developed into? I started playing Rune right after it first came out, and I still play now, so I just wonder what you think the differences are.

too many people insulting each other. you get called a noob when you use a shield and lowcal weapons. when you are on a killing spree people call you cheater.

there's no more friendship and team spirit out there...
don't get me wrong, rune is still fun to play, it just needs some new players.

Yep, I'd consider us more like a community of Rune players. Though not many of us play anymore. We are/were a niche group of a niche game in that we only used the low caliber weapons on our servers.

When we peaked and membership was growing, we strongly discouraged dual citizenship with other clans. We grandfathered a few folks that were already in, but wouldn't accept new comers that were affiliated with clans.

I've been on your servers from time to time since 2001, but if I'd known about the community you guys have here, I would have visited your forums a long time ago. Oh, well. Better late than never...

I have an e-mail account at sac-lamb-rune@hotmail.com, so if anyone needs to contact me for some games, I'm up for it. I still play in Rune, and if you check the servers, you'll often find me on as either Sacrificial Lamb or =SAC=Lamb.
