Sometimes there is an hour wait to get in the the arena and that sucks ( the wait not the arena). We used to have a low cal cycle but that went away. This will kill some of the waith and allow more people to play. Make it Grand.
im thinking hard about doing this but 1 thing is ill have to wait till i get other cp ill have it next or week or the next then i can play rune still and have the best connection for a dedicated server
I remember Low Caliber Cycle having people in it from time to time. It was a good when the Arena was full. Low Caliber Hall, unfortunately, didn't get nearly as many visitors. As nice as those maps were, I dont think I ever got to play with anyone on them.

well, as i recall it was something like a 2 meg dl, that was preatty discouraging. Maybe if you cycled more known maps at first and THEN went on to the more abscure ones...

That was actually the original set-up; but the result was invariable: we would get a couple tag-alongs for the basic maps and then boom, empty on the final obscure one.
So then we switched to all basic but low-calibrized; and people rightly complained that the old maps were worn and thread-bare.
The only derivative LowCaliber which had something of a life of its own was Asgard; and that may have had more to do with the Conjure aspect. It was certainly singular, but not a fighting crowd.
We might go back to an expanded Asgard (were guys guys even around for Asgard?), with some passages inside the castle and a renewed focus on combat.
Both map and end-level; it had been specially prepared for DM with a twist: you would start randaomly at any one of the five pillars with a different weapon each time.
