I would really like to see you guys work this out. I consider you both good friends and I feel like each of you want me to choose one over the other. Rox, you've been my right-hand man around this joint for a good six months now, and I depend on you for ideas, leadership, and most of all, companionship. SHADY, I've been playing Rune with you longer than anyone else and most of the best times have been with you around. All's I'm saying is that you're both awesome and I would really like it if you guys could work through this without my intervention.

Seriously SHADY, you are the last person in this forum that I thought that would whine like this in the forum. I'm really sorry to hear that you cant handle people that play in the server not liking you ( dont take me wrong, I like fighting you ) and doing something about it. Gee, if something is bothering you in the server, leave and come back later, just like the ragnars that you kill so you can rank up.

Shady, I have been thinking about this for a long time about posting since my last big post about you being a flamer and here you are again trying to start shit again, but this time its not with a non member its with the minister, which I think is really funny. Mano said "Shady, I've been playing Rune with you longer than anyone else and most of the best times have been with you around." Every time I have talked to Mano about banning Shady, or anything like that, he always says Shady gives him good fights, and "there are other reasons" another time it was "Not enough memembers posted mostly just people that come to the server" .. I am yet to hear these reasons and Im sure other have been waiting to hear them as well. Manowar, sure Shady has given you good fights but do you think the amount of those good fights is amounts to anywhere near times when Shady has giving others bad fights by exploiting, cheaping, and other forms of breaking rules (bloodlust ect). I may not be a memember and I may not even be a minor but I still care what happens to LCC it is one of the only places I will play Rune because of the rules, the fact remains that sure Shady has been around for a long time but so have alot of us that have asked for the ban. Id really like to have a response on this from as many members and minors as possible, then maybe we will see if something is done.

§ 1.4.1. Banning shall be used with the utmost care; do not ban somebody because of personal differences with them, but because they are an objective public nuisance and willfully do not respond to lesser measures. BTW, Id just like to point out this part of the LCC constitution for all to see. do not ban somebody because of personal difference but becasue of objective public nuisance and willfully do not respond to lesser measures. Hmm I dont know but that sounds just like Shady to me.

Alright, I've been part of Low Cal a fair while now; heck, even felt I've contributed something. I'm sad to see this involve Rox, whose good humour and presence I value so much. Guess I feel old when I see the periodic Shady-roast come on. This is what I'm specifically posting to. I'm sorry for the following 'holier-than-thou' crap but I'll sleep on it. But something must be wrong with me. I'm actually in the obvious minority that finds Shady quite intuitive and insightful sometimes, hilarious often. Sure he delights in shocking, but I've never felt 'put down' by him. And no, he has no reason to 'suck up' to me, as he's been accused of doing to the various officers in the past. I see a fair bit of bullshit that I admire consistency and being true to self, at the very least. Tellingly, I've found him good company on Ventrilo when one or more of the various officers and regulars have been around. Shady can take as good as he gives, I'm sure. It's fun to see the insults hurled because it's just impetuousity, most of the time. I'm confident in saying that I can play and get along with any member or regular of this club; in Shady's case, it's not an aberration. And I don't think the onus should be on Mano being personally petty or such - that riles me even if I'm reasonably easy-going. My two cents will obviously be discounted as Shady has been 'nice' ("OMFG!!111!") to me. And I think I'll be inundated with "What's an emeritus know anyway? pfff", "How would you like it if he said such-n-such (insert atrocity) to you?". The thing is, he hasn't and might just well never...Why's that? Hmm.

Simply pointed out by Dante. I too have nothing against Shady other then a few jokes gone out of hand. The dude has been around longer then I have.

A deeper meaning to the "Low Caliber Cycle": here's what I've gathered so far. Phase 1 - All is well within the arena; members play regularly; the forum bushels with activity. Phase 2 - "Lamer Infestation" occurs. People who don't necessarily play by the rules are introduced to the server and are usually shunned without proper notification of the rules they are breaking. Bans are placed; the forum lingers on controversial topics. Phase 3 - The prior stage being in the past, players start basking in the benefits of Low Caliber's rules and the server once again becomes a hot spot. Bans are usually lifted; the forum becomes inhabited with new and friendly individuals. Phase 4 - "Shady Hating". Someone (myself in the past) posts a topic in hopes of getting Shady banned for his mischevious deeds. "Elder" members of the club deny the request for a ban because, like it or not, Shady plays a big role in this club. Newcomers learn to dislike Shady; the forum rages on in heated discussions. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you play with Shady by Shady's rules, he's not that hard to get along with... and if he's deliberately breaking the rules, he doesn't seem to mind getting kicked a few dozen times Well, I think the cycle is almost coming around to Phase 1 again (there might be a couple phases in the end that I haven't touched on). Stick around, guys the first phase is a hell of a lot of fun!

Ministration we shouldn't have to fight shady by his rules.. they are set rules for the arena for a reason. Why should you let one person break them all and hound on the others for it. Yes the older members may be saying Shady has been around and they dont mind him as much but as one point they did. The reason for this is because they just fight Shady by his rules. Why let one person violate almost the entire constitution that you guys are surposed to be based around? That is my main point I have been around since day 2 of rune coming out .. i bought it online/downloaded it, i have been here a long time just like shady. I heard also HE ISN'T EVEN A TRUE MINOR (i remember hearing this from unter).. He only got minorship for the fact that certain members couldn't boot him anymore. But those members are gone now. Midnight on more then the common occasion i have heard you rant on vent how much shady is an ass and now the time comes where your voice counts and you wont voice it... Dante, I have played with you alot in the past and i have also heard you on vent the rare occasion, Shady doesn't suck up to everyone.

Dude, I have ranted this question many times in the past. But seriously. I haven't had a day in months where Shady wasn't in the arena and on vent with me. He is like Mano says "a good fight". I joke with the dude and generally have fun with all who come in the arena. Shady is with us if you like it or not. You can't deny access to someone especially when you are in the same boat.

You know what, LCC is the last server where people play with honor and where you can find good and fair fights. Why even have the constition if you guys arn't going to abide by it?

You need to just get use to shady. He use to be a ass to me but hes ok now. Your taking his jokes to heart, you need to learn how to just ignore or joke back. Bitching just makes it worse.

Don't misinterpret my post... I don't necessarily allow his behaviour. When he breaks the rules, I kick him - plain and simple. Try playing a game when Shady and I are both in there... you might find it funny to see how many times he gets kicked But (as far as I know) he doesn't hold that against me much like I don't hold his actions against him. Woody's right. The more you complain about him, the more you fuel his engine. I remember a time where one merely had to post on the club's forum to be considered a member - Shady arrived shortly thereafter and has remained.

quote: If you want to play with "honor" in the Low Caliber Arena, that's fine. But it has never been something that's been endorsed by this club's leadership. If you want some honor, head to an AR server, that's why they exist. Keep on singling me out, dude, you're barking up the wrong tree.

P.S. What the hell is honor anyway?
