On Friday night we will be hosting a Rune Co-op server. Our goal is to get a turn out of about 10 people or so, for a cooperative run through of the entire single player Rune campaign.

The catch? Each party member only has one life to live. That means the first time you die for any other reason than a telefrag or some sort of gross technical difficulty, you're out (banned even, if necessary).

The server will also be running the Low Calibrizer, meaning that there won't be any big weapons to jump-spin your way through with, and every inch of ground will have to be won by fighting tooth and nail.

So if you want to put your hardcore Rune skills to the test outside of the arena, sign up on this thread (Just say "I want in." or something to that effect). I'll announce the specific time and server shortly, depending on turn out.

Participants will include (in addition to anyone who signs up on this thread): myself, merlin, mercucio, news cat, and possibly still more.

Just tell me the time and I'll be sure. Count me in BTW, if I fall in lava I'll be kicked out? Or "some sort of gross technical difficulty" means exactly this?

Lava would be a legitimate death... UNLESS it's obviously because you're lagging really bad. Like if you fall into the lava and your ping is like 500, then everyone will understand. But if your ping is like 40 and you fall in then it's over. :/

By the way, does anyone not have the co-op mod? I can send it if necessary, or you can download it off me on DC++. Let me know so I can help you out.

Sounds more stressful than fun; I'll be at work anyway. No way am I going to come home at 9:30 and play a stressful, rule-ridden Rune match. Thanks but CoD2 is a better choice to come home to, assuming there's any reason to be home on a Friday night.
