We still have to wait for the subdomain "irc.lowcaliber.com" to be pointed to the IP.

But as soon as we get the IP I'll drop you guys a line.  We can use it immediately, even as I put the finishing touches on the jIRC client.

OK; everything's in Ordnung: the IP is up, the subdoman (irc.lowcaliber.com) points to the IP.  Now I have to install the IRCd (gods help me).

I'm still not sure what the hell we'll do with this thing.  Should have a direct link from the forums in a day or so; as soon as our site license for jIRC is approved.

I'll have to finish up the MOTD bizwack.  What about eggdrops and bots?

Been chillin' in #lowcaliber on the irc.lowcaliber.com server. I think the IRCD your running could use some help (I've joined SomeIRC for instance), not sure if you can publicly download the type that the Dalnet or Aniverse networks use, but if you could, you wouldn't have to worry about eggdrops or bots for every channel. Since the chanserv/nickserv/opserv services (essentially IRCop bots) would handle it. Either way, it's fucking lonely idling in here.

Lol, man.  Yeah I just set up the config files and need to kill the things so some of the "branding" takes effect.  I'll look into some other IRCd's, but this one, "UltimateIRCd", seems to be a relatively standard one.

I've configured jIRC to read the forum cookie, so we should have a relatively integrated IRC client as soon as I get the licence in the next day or so.

So you think "#lowcaliber" should be our default channel?
