Well, GW is finaly released in Russia. It costs 45$ and it is pretty much here. I got only 20$ now

So I wanted to ask you does this game really cost those money? Is it interesting enough and stuff. I actually want to play MMORPG very much but all of them are full of magic stuff as well as GW I bet. I want a string melee MMORPG is it is possible. Hmm, so what this discussion about is what GW is. Can anyone spend some time to tell me advantages and disadvantages of this game please?

pvp is also fun, but its exponentially more fun if you belong to an active guild.

Why it becomes boring after lvl 20? You become to strong?

Well.....in GW's defense I have played over 780 hours in 5 months, so there must be some draw to it lol. One major difference is the "outside" areas are instanced, so you cannot just run into people in the wilderness. You have to form parties in town and then you all leave together. The reason GW could (i guess) lose appeal after 20 is the level count stops there. You still gain levels, but it stops counting for PvP reasons. You know that guy is "at least" 20th level, or he could be like me and be closer to 50th lol. the levels after 20 dont give you new attribute points, but you do have to play a lot to level up that high so the players experience level is what matters, not so much the characters.
I am still ridiculously enjoying this game and will for a long time to come . As far as the fighting goes, you are right about the amount of magic. There is a lot, and the fighting (melee) is not like Rune at all. If you are using a melee weapon and you click on an enemy 2 miles away, your dude will run all the way there and do the same attack everytime. Melee characters do get some cool attacks, but there is no "mouse-swinging" like in Rune. The fighter attacks are more like really short range spells that need a weapon to work lol. Also warriors use adreneline instead of Mana, so the more they hit or get hit the faster their skills recharge. I recommend GW a lot, but I am addicted to it so my opinions are a little biased.

Is it possible to be cool there playing only dumb warrior?

I'm not sure what you mean by cool, but I think any type of character can be effective and fun, it just depends how you use them. There are a lot of Warriors out there already because as a Warrior it is a lot easier to get further in the game. They just take a lot more damage than the magic using classes do. But at the same time when you get further in the game a Warrior is useless without a Monk to heal him/her. But also a Monk would die real fast without a Warrior to absorb some damage. Basically the first half of the game is solo-able, but later in the game you need other people to compliment your skills. Hope this helps you with your decisions .

Hmmm I think I won't have much time to play it because of school. This year is my last and I need to be good to get in high school so it takes a lot of time. But i think I will buy it because I extremely wanna play any MMORPG (xcept WoW )

Try real hard to get it 3-4 days before XMAS if you can. On Halloween they had live events which were really cool, and I imagine they will do so leading up to XMAS.

And sometimes they come back... Well guy's I was away for a looong time. I have finished with my education and I'm now working for Siemens, called a Specialist Mobile Applications.

Anyway, I want to play GW too and now as I see you all play it, I hope that my DSL flatrate will be online as soon as possible. Than I will be online when I'm at home and can try to join you

Ok, I'll try The XMAS in Russia is on 7th of January lol. I was going to buy it on a New Year day but now I'll probably ask for money earlier and buy it on 20th of December. You've said there are 5 personages for one account. Is it possible then to play one version with a friend?

You won't be able to play at the same time.

At the same time on one server? Or there's only one server in GW? You know, noone here in Russia pays for WoW but many ppl play it They just got hacked server in Russia to play on. As well as I got illegal UT2004 and I can play it on a couple of russian dedicated servers. It's not my fault that they don't sell UT2004 in Rusia. I'd buy it even if it costs 40$. In Russia most of legal games cost 4-7$. And that's the reason why noone buys legal box copies of games like WoW, HL2, StarCraft. That is kinda stupid to sell games by USA price in Russia where prices and payments are much lower. I'm glad that DooM3 sellers understand it. It is the biggest project that has been sold in Russia by russian price. Even GTA: VC costs here too much to buy a legal copy Well, anyway, I'm not much into any other games. Only Rune and Unreal. And of course Icy Tower, Soldat, Sven and Crimsonland Oh, and good ol' The Great Battles of . I play only Rune. UT2004 in caffees once per week and some of those arcade game I've said about to relax (not much often though).

I dont know about the server thing, but with GW you have one account with 4 characters allowed per account. In order to switch characters you have to log out then back in again, so there is no way to play 2 or more characters on one account that I know of. Plus GW staff seem pretty industrious when it comes to stopping cheating and keeping play balance, so mess with it at your own risk. They have banned a lot of accounts for breaching their EULA already....and I really think it is worth playing. Stay gold Ponyboy!!!
