Rain Man wouldn't fly anything else; though he recently recanted on his endorsement:
Charlie Babbitt: Ray, all airlines have crashed at one time or another, that doesn't mean that they are not safe.
Raymond Babbitt: Qantas. Qantas never crashed.
  Charlie Babbitt: Qantas?
  Raymond Babbitt: Never crashed.
Charlie Babbitt: Oh, that's gonna do me a lot of good because Qantas doesn't fly to Los Angeles out of Cincinnatti, you have to get to Melbourne, Melbourne Australia, in order to get the plane that flies to Los Angeles!
Raymond Babbitt: Yeah, Melbourne is the capital.

lol, tom cruise, no longer australia's favorite adopted son. funny how the local women's magazines (the covers of which i see a lot of in waiting rooms) no longer swoon over him.
as i recall, 'melbourne' was pronounced most heavily as 'MEL-BORNNNNNN', to which my then co-viewers leapt up and yelled 'MEL-BERRRRRRN, you frigging mutt!' to the screen.

that image has stayed with me for 10 years.

when did melbourne become the capital? Wink

(and that 'endorsement' is one hilarious piece of satire!! good luck to Mr "fuck shit cunt" Moseley)

mad max mel spent, i think, 1-2 years in brisbane (in queensland state) during secondary school.

but no, he wasn't born on ayers rock, with dingoes and wallabies in attendance, nor with aborigines bringing him the best wombat cold slices, lol.
