Finally Big Grin

So here is the list of updates since #6

-First triggered door to skywalk (not shown in shots)
-Torch lights in den
-Ceiling lights in den
-Redesigned den(much prettier now)
-Changed hallway texture to a brownish wood instead of yellow.
-Fixed annoying BSP holes
*-Members room
(hallway to members room wide enough for one person only, it will cause some interesting disputes Wink)
-Sweet high-tech light projectors in members room.
-Decreased node count in map using better compile method(increased performance) and decreased file size.
-Removed some unwanted polys.
-Fixed wood sound when hitting stone floor by entrance.
-Evil Wizard + axe.
-Asgard picture
-Bar table
-Fixed minor 'hole' issue from the old arena with the mid-arena shroom disappearing under certain angles.
-Added second piece of broken mirror
-Wooden floor in small arena
-The crows in the large arena can now be seen through the ceiling window in the den (nice Smile)
-Changed ceiling window bricks
-Barred windows in members room, so the suckers can't escape Big Grin

Phew.

If you're not up on the members wall and feel you SHOULD be or want to be, let me know. I did not include members that are no longer idle, but I may have missed someone. If you're a new member you will not be on the wall (yet) so don't request unless you've been here a while, with the exception of Revenant, he deserves it.

Next update coming soon, I got some sweet stuff in store.

For those of you wondering when the hell will you actually be able to play this, well that depends on what else we come up with. So far only Unter has contributed ideas. If you have any, let them out. If it's good, funny or not too stupid, it will go in Big Grin.

The UAX file goes into the sounds folder, the UTX files go into the textures folder and the .run file obviously goes into the maps folder.

BTW about the order of the portraits, I've already heard this come up so incase anyone gets offended, they are in no particular order.

Unter,Imp,Winter were put first for obvious reasons, I put myself fourth for obvious reasons Big Grin and the rest were put in entirely by random, in the end it doesn't matter who is where. Elmo is last, he relieves you any discomfort of being last by being last himself. So noone has to be last Big Grin

THAT MAY be ONE of THE most UGLIEST and CRAPPIEST arena/map I have EVER seen IN MY WHOLE LIFE. YOU NEED TO GET HELP on MAPMAKING, SERIOUS HELP, WTF IS THAT THIng, just looks like some wood taped together in a big rectangle with lines on it.

Jesus, dude; looks like it's time to nuke Sabih.

Sabih: don't ever bring your filthy lips around here again; confine them to the adolescent insolence of your Clansmen.

Moving on, lol.

NuTT: fantastic work, man.  Your skills are blooming with each successive update.

The gates I had in mind would close either laterally, like prison doors; or open towards the arena, like double gates (think Asgard, top of rainbow).

The ones leading into the large arena we would control by remote (a "door" command available to members); and the middle by the number of people inside (say two, to allow one-on-ones).

Have you worked with movers yet?

It may be time to put Sabih out to rot. He was fine back in the days, not anymore.

He could be an inspiration to youth, put a "Don't do drugs or this will be you" sign around his neck.

Anyways the gates are the least of the problem, I can do that easy, but how are you planning to trigger them, by console command?

I don't entirely like the idea of locking out the non members out of the large arena, how will they play if no members are around?

And about this middle arena, how would you work out a queue? What stops someone that just came in from taking a spot from someone that has been waiting a few minutes for a fight?

The "door" command would be mainly to stop kids from getting out, not getting in, lol.  It would be in place to prevent the kids who like to hulk and flee; and basically a member would issue the "door" command, causing the doors to close for, say, five seconds.

The new authorization system I'll introduce in the next day or so can already differentiate between Members, Peregrines and the general public.

As for the mid-arena: first come, first serve.  Two kids in will close it automatically; none of this ArenaGame queue business.

Basically it would be in place to stop the whining about people interrupting 1on1's.  Of course that'll be irrelevant if we convert the middle to the conjure arena, but I'd still like to have something in place in the large for catching mid-fight snackers.

Lol ugh, you want me to use that? Razz Well I suppose, but that's going to look so off, plus it's gonna increase file size further more.

Problem is I wanna keep a common theme going with the low cal background while also showing who uses which character. That custom portrait will throw the whole thing off. Not to mention that it may be unfair for anyone else who might want one but cannot have one since the file size would just get too big.

If you really want it I'll put it in, but think about it.
