Enclave website

I tried the demo, its not as gory as rune, but worth playing ( at least you can chose a Warhammer as a weapon, something I miss in rune ).

haha this is an old game.

And yeah it is ok, but for me, the combat doesn't hold a candle to Rune's.

Pooo - this game sucks dick. Just stand and strike until you'd cause a super strike that hits everyone who's near you. You don't need to do anything more in this stupid game. Even Knights of the Temple is better (from the same developer btw)

One thing that really stands out in melee games now is the lack of ability to jump, jumpspin, or just move while attacking. I think my favorite melee stuff besides rune is the jediknight stuff.
For some reason I liked Enclave better than Knights of the temple though.
Can't say for sure because I played each for less than a half hour. Big Grin

Agreed Socket... I wish rune were a lil less jumpy than it is, should be more reallistic at least in single player.
Just tried the Knights of the temple, and I thought it was a a bit too much video-game-ish with all those combos, and the lack of mouse free look ( without those two it would be perfect ).
I'm going to dig up a game called Blade of Darkness now, still at 23%, does anyone here knows if its worth the download ?

It was kind of cool. It was a lot different than both enclave and rune as far as combat.

You fight and swing in patterns by swinging your mouse instead of clicking. At least that is what I think I remember Smile
It was kind of odd and hard, but Im sure it could get better if you got into it and learned how to fight better

I hear BoD is kind of a piece of crap.

There really only is one good melee game -- and that's RUNE. Maybe someday someone will put out something just as good. (Don't count on HumanHead..)

Mano's right. Comboz killed BoD for me. Even though I complited it I didn't like it. Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is bloody good in single player but without dodges it's not as interesting as Rune in multiplayer (for me, of course). And I didn't like Jedi Academy at all.

And WTF?! You think that Rune should be more jumpy? Not less than 30% are playing only using jump'n'strike style with hammers and BIG axes. Hate them - how can they enjoy such gameplay?

And Mano's right agaib - there isn't any melee game that would be as good as Rune. And I think there's not too many games (even non-melee) that better than Rune. I think only UT may be... Other games for me are just to have fun for a few of days.

Oh yeah, there isn't anything even close to rune for melee.

And I didn't say rune needed more jumping.... who said that?

I just said the ability to attack while jumping and moving in it is really good compared to games where you have to stand still while attacking
