I know, I don't need translation to get the point of the game but that translation was made by professional russian actors which voices I can recognise and all was translated in russian way like names of places and some jokes. It is just the best localization after Mafia. But Mafia's localization is legal by professional firm and this one was made by pirates. The've done a fooken great job.

actually, verizon phones lock all features they possibly can, including ringtone, etc... so that you have to pay through their service to transfer pics/whatever. so they didn't lift restrictions on v3c, they added them! black power!

i don't like new games, except oblivion as well. playing old games makes me feel more oldschool. lol. and new games are always expensive, so why not return to good old stuff?

In good old time ppl tried to make a game look good, exciting and niteresting. Now modern graphic technologies killed the art. Just try the game Clive Barker's Undying - it is old unreal engine game and it owns because of it's atmosphere, because of the plot and developers tried to make it look sweet. Now all they do is getting cool engine and setting shit on it. DooM3 has it's own great atmosphere and some remade old monsters are so sweet. I think it is the best sequel made after big time pause. HL2 blows comparing with it, imho.

I would say the opposite. If HL2 is a 10/10 I would give doom 3 a 4/10.
Why?
It doesnt' matter graphics, it matters that it just isn't fun.
HL2 was a blast.

HL2 is a boring movie which you watch just because of it's quality. Like LOTR, King Kong (maybe - didnt see it), The Day After Tomorrow (didnt see too - I just don't watch such movies) and so on. Doom 3 was a great atmosphered sequel of a legend. And I liked DooM3 plot more than HL2 one. HL2 just rocked itself. Don't know how to tell it in english. Like they tried to make something cool so hard that this coolness striked back at 'em. In HL2 I only liked the very end scene. I would give:

Well gameplay is what made it fun. (BTW HL1 was a classic as much as doom, just not as old)
Yeah doom3 was a new game based on a classic, but it had old gameplay that was just boring. It was pretty much Doom1 like 10 years later with better graphics. HL2 expanded gameplay with cool ass physics and stuff.

doom 3 was boring.

Everything is dark and if there is light 99% of the time it is red. Yeah great atmosphere. I think the first doom had better atmosphere than that...
Then, I have tried to play through it 4 times! every time I stop and I just can't go on because it is too boring! I bought it right away when it came out but it is just boooring.
Not to mention it looks bad compared to other games. I just don't like the doom3 engine. Nor the feel of the guns when you shoot them.
Now fear has some great sounding and shooting guns that feel right when you play.

I ran through DooM3 on middle dificulty in 3 days I guess it's just a game for lovers

About 2nd: Stupid skeletal animation which looked as crappy as it looked only in Postal 2. Stupid plot. MP 1 has a great idea and that game was damn interesting, 2nd was dumb. They ran out of fantasy but needed to sell something so they made it. If I remember correct - there was a russian guy which was good and helped MP in 1st part and he became the main enemy in 2nd, right? Shit, I was so happy to see that guy helping out in 1st MP
1st ended up like it was all done. Max finished what he needed too and it was THE END. That game just couldn't be continued - he killed like 5000 ppl and they just said "oh bad boy, don't do this again, ok?"! That's ridiculous - the only final after the ending scene of 1st part that could be was that cops will kill him or he will kill himself because he has nothing to live for now. And that's why I liked the game. Because sad ending of dramatic plot. And that trash which came as a sequel just pissed me off.

Remember the very end of 2nd - you fill out whole holder of m4a1 at that guy and after that he falls behind and screams "oh oh oh, you got me ahh". I got him fucking 60 times! Shit lol, that game just pissed me off

I just remember it was a fun game that I really liked playing. I know it got a lot of flak for the story, but I rather liked it...
I would have bought a max payne 3 the day it came out.
I still hope they do do a max payne 3. Just cause I want to play more. I don't care what they do with the plot as long as it doesn't get really bad with aliens or something.
But yeah that stuff at the end with "oh oh, you got me" was gay

god damn the arrogance... the fact of the matter is that pokrishka is an elitist in denial, lol. let's start off with the fact that doom3 is in no way a fun game. it is repetitive, linear and completely lacking atmosphere and LOGIC (i'm sorry, you're on mars and not a single one of your guns is equipped with a flashlight... but our swat teams seem to have them attached to our brass-loaded guns though). to call it anything near doom or doom II is an insult considering i can play the openGL or D3D versions of those games and have a great time but i play doom 3 and i only see a poorly thought out plot and mind-numbingly boring gameplay. maybe you're playing the game wrong.

oh and it's true, the guns have no feeling to them in doom... but then again, socket, fear guns are far from top of the line, lol... the "future-fied" mp5 stuck on burst fire and the poorly modelled usp-like handgun feel dull. max payne 2 knew how to make the guns look and feel amazing, especially with such a huge loadout and especially for a third-person game. call of duty 1/UO/2 all pulled off firearms well and custom content in CS:S is absolutely gorgeous and feels as good as you want it to -- assuming you have the skill.

rune is a 7/10... doom 3/10... half-life 2 9.5/10... soldat has nothing to do with these games... ut2004 9/10 (pick-up-and-play!)... unreal is okay with co-op.

the only problem with half-life 2 is ending so soon. the gameplay is something that you'd have to be pretty fucking dumb to not admire. the graphics add an environment that immerses the player, not "ruins the game for being too pretty". you tried way too hard to hate the game, must've had a friend beat the ravenholm area for you or something. maybe you put god mode on and ran through it... maybe you never attacked or killed enemies with bottles and metal siding... i'm glad i was able to appreciate the game, it was worth the two days of school i skipped when it was released (preordered!).

you never gave those two movies a chance, neither did i but i don't assume the only decent thing about them is quality... you're not someone special, your opinion is not outstanding over the majority because not "everyone else" is that fucking dumb as to only love the movie 'the day after tomorrow' because it looked so rad when the water went over teh city.

i dono... i play games for both visuals and gameplay. fear is great, call of duty 1/UO/2 are the absolute most immersing games of all time (dwarfs doom series, is on quake engine). oblivion is nice but i've yet to find the time for it. how about quake IV? do you hate it because it's beautiful? the beauty doesn't stop there, i didn't pay for the game and there's a public server crack that takes a little while to connect but allows you to play online and it is pretty darn true to the old quakes whereas the single player is really cool (again dwarfz doom, is on doom's engine). it's a game i can play and definitely see myself finishing. cod series, hl2, max payne series... i beat those and i can see myself finishing quake IV and fear. doom 3? fuck it. the expansion? fuck it harder.

i won't even get started on something else, tired of typing and it's not worth it but i will say not to insult the story of max payne 2...you just don't know a good story when you see it... that game is beyond me.
