Although I have not played RUNE online for very long (c. 1.5 months) I have gotten attached to the LCC and what it stands for. I am still fairly green by player standards but I am competent to say the least. I agree with the 'honor' and 'good fight' mantra that the LCC promotes and would like to become more a part of it. I try to keep balanced by fighting in the arena and participating in the forums. I seem to get along with anyone I have talked to from LCC and have been 'invited' to play more, etc by some members. I get positive feedback on the forum and try to help anyone if possible there as well. I take this to be a good sign that I am compatible *angelic grin* but to be honest I do not know what you look for in prospective applicants.

If one or more of you believe that I AM worthy of minorship in LCC please do not hesitate to speak up for me. If you feel that I am not do not sugar coat it . . . just be honest and I will deal with it.

That was kind of what I was comng back here to state . . . I still want to frequent the LCC arena whether I am a minor or not. I was in another clan awhile ago for D2 and UO (CoAV before it disbanded and reformed) and that took awhile--I am just saying I am familiar with the routine so to speak. I was hesitant to inquire based on the amount of time I have been around but I am impatient and had to ask to see what was what

There is this psycho-analysis we do. LOL!!!! Get on ventrilo and we can further our analysis of your well being in seeing your promotion to minorship. We have this steep checklist that must be completely filled out. I will explain more once you are on ventrilo. To get ventrilo go to the link at the top of the general forum or go to www.ventrilo.com and download the latest version of the client. What does it do exactly? I understand it is for communication (voice) online but is it also like an ICQ thing? Does it do anything f--ked up to my machine as far as online access and what it is succeptable to? It makes reference to server rental . . . I assume I ignore that part eh?

Ventrilo the client (not the server) is a voice communication program that allows real time communication amongst players with an unbelieveable sound quality. We use it to talk while we play instead of typing shit loads of text that in all takes away valuable playing time. Ventrilo has no spyware nor any malicious code. You are safe to download the windows version of ventrilo.

I assume I need a mic right? I am sans mic right now. What is a good one to get?

I have the logitech USB 300pro something or other headset with mic. I like it alot because my Mic jack is very very hard to get to and this way I can easily switch between headphones and speakers. I reccomend it!

how much is it and what would be considered too much?

It was $50, which is about $20 more than if you got it without the USB ( only difference between the 200 and 300 is the USB connection) but it is worth it to me. There are a bunch you could probly find for less, but this one is top quality and I am really happy with it so far.
Don't pay anymore than $50. I am betting you could find it someplace for 10-15$ less than that thoug.

Lately since you started coming to the forums a lot I haven't seen you in the arena... or maybe I've been playing everything else a lot more (UT2K4!!!!1111111111111111).... but yeah. I didn't think there woud be another minor after me... never knew there would be more new people but apparently there is someone, and you're rad. But you better not receive a minorship request a day before I did because that would mean I am loved less. Calculate the time of my registration with the time in which Mid sponsored me and make sure you refuse any requests prior to that.... or I'll cry all over you !

I am being realistic about the minor thing. I know that I do not have too much time with you all and am not expecting handouts. I was/am testing the waters and voicing my interest mainly. If it happens sooner than later cool. If it does not happen I will still hang out in the arena . . .

I cannot honestly say I will be as active as I have been lately all the time either so no worries on that. Admittedly I have alot of time on my hands lately because I got laid off from my job end of last year and I am searching online, etc. Fortunately I am in between 2 offers from 2 companies and am trying to work something out for my best interest. If this one deal works out I will have to go out of town for training for a week or so and I will be M.I.A. until I got back . . . It is hard to keep up with something like this in relation to real life, etc and I am sure everyone in LCC is realistic about that.

I was in antoher clan (not rune) several years ago before it disbanded and reformed so I know that this can take time. I recently got into online RUNE in the last 1.5 months and really do not plan on getting into more than that (even D2 I do not play much at all anymore and online hardly ever).

I am glad you think highly of me Pencil. *sniffle* You are cool too and I am sure you are loved so relax.

As far as headsets go, this is the one I have. (If prompted for a zip code, hit 48858.) A cheap $14.99 headset will do the trick. That's what I started off using and the only reason I upgraded was because I didn't take care of the old one. (stepped on it one too many times.) I don't recommend the stand alone mic /comp speakers combo. Reason being is that the rest of us get too much echo.

As far as minorship goes, I must say that you're on the right track, Thorgrim. Being on Ventrilo is not required, but it definitely speeds the process. Besides, being on ventrilo with five or six people while playing is the my favorite part of LCC.

P.S. Pencil might've registered on 11/21 but it took him a whole month to post.

And Mano, of course it took so long to post! Forum intoductions are bloody hard, and I'm scared poopless. Same thing with Vent, but now I got the mic working just fine (hopefully) and am quite talkative, at least when playing ut2k4 with the midster and yakesh and stuff.... so I'll be on vent more often now, good good yumyum .
