Okay, so here's "the computer room". This obviously isn't where my PC is, but rather, it is now occupied by my parents. They hate that dual monitor setup I made right there, but it's okay (too bad it sacrifices ability to play Rune on the LAN). Like the screen saver, though? BSOD Ahoy!

Hehe I was supposed to be building a low-end, P.O.S. 500mhz machine with that case with pete, but its so ugly that we never got around to it. Oh no!!

shit.. i had a nice sentence and then a banner fucked it all up.. not writing it all again .. grr .. lol .. anyway .. top left is 1.83 Ghz AMD Athlon .. loaded with case lights .. and the button right is my server 1.53 Ghz XP1800 + .. no panels only frame and front cover lol .. desktop is some what clean but cant say much for the room

And yes, mine is hand-built, and no old parts from that HP in the other room (with the dual monitors) are used in mine anymore either, which is always great (but I stole the SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 from my sister's Dell).

Dude, is that left monitor a Packard Bell? If so, look at my pic of the duals, our second monitors are identical, lol, its like 13" and can handle 1024x768 so that is good enough for the parents, although the main one is at 1280x1024 . I mean, you even have the same speakers on it, it just has to be a 13" Packard Bell!

Again, about that, the HP for the parent's use, most of that stuff in there is upgraded except the motherboard and CPU, otherwise sacrifices were made, as well as addons (hard drive, sound card, video card, RAM, etc).

And about HP, they may be another OEM manufacturer (and I refuse to let friends or family but OEMs while I'm around to help) but as said before, I have a refurbished 19" HP monitor here capable of 1920x1440@60Hz, so I'm content !!

indeed.. that is a Dell sony trinitron 19'' monitor ... refrash rate sucks on it.. but it does the job .. only knoticable for refreshrates when going over 60 FPS .. mine max's out at 1600x1200 other wise i would make it higher

that setup was messy.. but now i moved the server onto its own desk on the right side of the room .. alot better .. love it... also cleaned the room hehehe :P

And another thing.. i also have a SB live! 5.1 in my system .. dont see no need to upgrade my sound as my Altec Lancing makes up for the loss of 24 bit sound.. 16 bit works for me .. crystal clear baby !

and as for monitors .. there difference.. if the PC's i'd refuse to buy or let a friend buy :P

shit my bad.. i thought you said Dell .. lol .. yes that one is a packardbell monitor .. 14'' .. . except only differnce is you're has a buttom stand... this one was made to have a computer build underneith it.. i just customized it for a normal PC lol .. worked good if you ask me ..

Haha cool cool, lots of similar stuff. And yeah, only if a 24-bit sound card enhanced PERFORMANCE, not just clarity, would I go for it, otherwise the SB Live! 5.1 is impossible to beat.

And about the monitor, I can't believe yours might be older than mine! Mine had the PC underneath it, sort of working as a stand, but it wasn't built into the monitor like that , that would have been much cooler .

yeah man ... it also has a fan underneith it so if the monitor gets hot.. it automaticly turns on .. lol . its neat... oh and here a screen shot for ya

Icon Size: 30;
Icon Font: Microsoft Sans Serif; Size "7".
Icon Spacing (Horizontal): 54
Icon Spacing (Vertical): 19

Try it out, might align properly in there, otherwise tweak it a little .
