Dunno if you guys have seen it or not, but go check out gameplay footage of the new "Dark Messiah of Might and Magic". It looks like a cross between Rune and Oblivion . My buddy has been playing it and he says the FPS melee is very well done.... oh how I pray it is even close to Rune.

Yeah it didn't get that good of ratings so far, but I really liked the feel of the combat from the demo I played (as well as the MP closed beta I was in). My main beef is that it is only first person, which obviously doesn't fit with a Rune style that I want.;..

I got it and it took (seriously) 9 hours to install because of that lame Steam shit. Then I was able to play the tutorial level and no further because it keeps crashing. If I had about $1000 I could get enough parts to play it and it would be cool. I hate technology sometimes. Rune is better anyway

Yeah rune is better, but I thought the demo was still fun. I still am planning on getting it sometime here in the near future

I don't think the patch will help me, but I am trying it anyway. I was under the impression that Steam auto-patched shit when you sign in or start playing, but I could be wrong. I will keep you's guys posted but I think my problem is just lack of good computer parts. *crosses fingers*

I'm guessing Steam is another product I'm going to have to re-format to be rid of. Sigh, sometimes I wish I had more interest in figuring this shit out, but I don't.

I haven't had any trouble with steam, I love it.

And yeah, it should auto patch stuff, you might have to check the properties and tell it to "keep this game up to date" or something.

Like I said, I had no problems with the demo, or the MP beta that I played for months (on steam). So it may be your hardware.
