Well, i am not as bad off as mano... i think. (sorry to hear about all the shit you went through mano, maybe this will make you feel better)

I got busted by IU PD for providing alcohol to a minor.

Here is what happened:
I went down to IU this weekend and had a female friend of mine drive me to the liquor store so i could get more to drink. Mind you i had been drinking since 10am, so i was really not in any condition to drive. She also gave me some cash to pick up some alcohol for a friend of hers. I end up walkin out of a liquor store with so much alcohol that I had to have the guys workin there help me carry all the shit. As we leave this cop gets behind us and starts following. As we pull into her apt complex he pulls us over. He gets bot of our IDs and has her step out of the car to talk to her to get her story first. The window was down so i herd everything she said and she told him the truth all the way, and admitted the friend of hers that i bought the alcohol was for was underage just like her. So then he comes and talkes to me, and tells me to just tell the truth and neither of us will go to jail and her car will not get towed (as he is saying this i am thinkin to myself, "Fuckin idiot i herd every fuckin word she said."). so he started asking questions that i simply answered yes or no. I was not gunna get technical and split hairs with him and piss him off. So in the end he slaps me with a ticked for providing alcohol to a minor, her possession of alcohol, and i gotta go back to IU for court next month.

Here are the interesting things i noticed with my ticket:
1.)Ticket says i am 22 when i am 21
2.)Ticket has my wrong address when i told him the correct one
3.)he signed his first name, but printed his last name
4.)under district number it look like he wrote a J or S insted of 5

If anyone can help let me know. if not, at least you did not almost get arrested this weekend

haha that sucks. I know my friend got busted for a speeding ticket but the cop was new and wrote the code down wrong so it was thrown out. I don't know if anything like that could count for your case though

you can go to court and fight the ticket,
if the cop doesn't show up you get not to pay it.

Well it is up to you, but you might at least want to consult with a lawyer about the descrepencies on the ticket. Might loop hole you out of it.

oh LOL! this is so crazy, here kids at the age of 13-14 buy vodka without getting slapped or anything.
the funny thing is: you are allowed to buy drinks suchs as vodka at the age of 18, but nobody seems to care... and you get busted for buying shit (legally!) without giving it away.

My thoughts exactly, but i did pick up some stuff for one of her friends, i guess he or she was under age and that is where it mainly comes into play. But still i had no clue who her friend was or how old they were. Aparently it is illegal for her to drive my drunk ass to the liquor store to pick up alcohol for just me.

Fuckin Indiana BS laws. I plan on getting a lawyer or at least seeking the advise of one.

I would challenge it. Obviously the COP didn't want to be there and made a half ass attempt to ticket you just because you walked out the liquor store with a shitload of alcohol. Wrong info on a ticket served in Canada is challengable and you can usually get it thrown out of court. Especially with that many mistakes. COPs and there quotas! YEESH!
