huh.... wierdo stuff. I really love the mouse gestures though, everytime I use a browser without em I get all frustrated trying to do commands that dont work.. heh

Opera has 'em, I never used them. Opera is great for non-5-button mice like on the 8660C and stuff, because right-then-left click it goes back,a nd visa versa. and a transfer window tab and the greatest zoom feature and..... schweee.

Agreed, Pencil. It's too bad there's no decent graphical browser that supports 100% keyboard input, in a sane, ergonomic way. The only thing I really like the mouse for is gaming.

Using things like menus and mouse gestures is a tremendous strain on the wrist, not to mention slow.

Yes yes! I feel stupid using the mouse in most occasions, in a web browser I love it for scroll wheel and other added things but Ctrl+W, Ctrl+Q, Ctrl+Shift+W, Ctrl+Tab, Ctrn+N, Spacebar (FastForward in Opera), Backspace, etc. Some things are so strenuous, and Opera makes it great.

And, actually, Opera is super-de-duper in Linux, too. I can't stand Konqueror or Firebird or anything in Linux because of my love for Opera, and in Linux it is still a dream. You WILL use it, radix !!

Seriously, the way I use my computer I would see my background image about once every 3 days, so I don't have a fancy one.

Re: Opera. No thanks! I'm fine enough with Firefox to avoid paying for a browser. I especially like the type-ahead find for keyboard navigation. Definitely helps with ergonomics. And it lets me edit these horrible text input areas that web sites use in a sane editor like emacs.

Pay? Whoa now, I go serials for them both. I'd NEVER pay for software, silly man, no matter how hard it is to get certain stuff (persistent).

And my Linux desktop is similar, I'm using the comes-with-KDE "This is a KDE Box" background... just isn't worth it to make a special one for Linux when it looks sleek enough with that and, also, I never see the silly desktop, too .

based on jobs I've had in the past, I can work on both MACs and PCs about equal but have more time on PCs. I do not have a preference really . . . all I know is that they both BLOW when they Fuuk up . . .

That's funny... I can only have such a busy wallpaper because I see my desktop once every 3 days or so.

If I needed to use mine often I'd probably have a background image like yours, radix.

I can't debate your logic, Manowar; I used to have some fancy background images myself, but I just forgot about them over time, I guess. It probably reverted to that image when I upgraded to Gnome 2.0 or something.

Hereś the Linux desktop. I actually just reinstalled Linux today (30 minutes ago) so its still jaaa.... but this is how my desktop was last time and how it will probably stay. Yay.
