You know, I have been here for about 2.5 years and had a great time talking with USA and Canada guys (and German, Eis and whatever else country is introduced here) and like I always thought all the stereotypes about different countries are wrong. Everything depends on the exact person and the shit like "all Russians are commies, all Americans dumb" and etc is plain bullshit. Not to sound rude about Serpent and Bad Influence, they are good persons but what they say makes me feel like if someone would try to explain me that being a gay is better because you are both even and there would be no oppression, opposing to the normal male to female relationship. I know it's not a good example but this is the only thing to come out from my mind, I hope you understood the atmosphere of the feelings that such crap makes me to feel.

Well now Pok..... my personal belief is thus: Piracy is theft and theft is wrong, but there are exceptions to every rule. Piracy/theft is wrong if the ammount (money) that you pirate/steal will cause the creator/owner to die of starvation or suffer in some way. I don't see it as wrong when the person has too much, especially if they lord it over the gameless/poor people. When I was much younger I was a bit of both you see, but i didn't pirate much as i was always too busy out doing B/Es. Now I only went to rich neighborhoods because I figured they could afford it, but I mostly did it for the addreniline rush.
ps. was like 15 years ago so the statute of limitations has run out guys, don't go calling crime-stoppers on me

Anyway I disagree now with pirating for one simple reason: if you steal from game developers, they will have less money and have to work at McDonalds to pay rent, which means less time spent making new games for me to play.

Gamers are like symbiotic parasites to developers, neither would have any use without the other. Pirates on the other hand only benefit the gamers. What reason do pirates give to developers to continue making games? I personally dont pirate games and haven't since I was a wee-little Sarkling suckling off Loki's titties, (aka my c64 days) but to each their own. I just hope pirates realize they are shooting themselves in the foot.
