Shady has shown some remorse for his actions. I decided to give him a trial run. While he did not directly apologize, he went on to say how much he loves Rune and how he enjoys the LowCal servers.

Let's give it a shot, I think he's fine as long as members demonstrate the same tolerance on him as they do on other peregrines/non-members.

If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. I've never been thrilled with permanent bans. People can change, he's shown some signs.

If anyone has any grievances feel free to air them out here or privately to me in e-mail.

You're probably right, Imp. I am a servent of the club, if an overwhelming majority wishes for him to be banned immediately and for good, I will do just that.

and of course there were a few chat kills

he wont be able to interrupt 1on1's and you wont hear his nasty mouth. seems like it'll be hard to justify banning anyone with those features.

lol, just when i thought i was getting used to the members' commands, most of them are probably going to be relatively useless, given the mods improvements...

btw, people with the "aggressive dependent" (not a paradox as you'll see) personality type don't see their ways easily, unfortunately....they constantly need second chances but, again unfortunately society is often very unforgiving...

what they seek is someone to tell them "oooo, your rebelliousness is sooooo ingenious; i love the flagrant way you challenge authority!!"...
these people are usually the sons of high school principals (almost always really cold bastards)...
but c'mon, who is ever going to say such things to them? thus their fantasy is perpetuated and they come to an untimely and tragic end when such needs are frustrated....thats the psychodynamic model...

now, the psychoanalyst model would postulate, a la Freud, that such people havent progressed past their oral (=incorporation) stage adequately; either frustrated by inattention or over-coddled by domineering parental figures...
whatever the case, deconstructing their hostility and passive-aggressiveness to them often leads to their suicides...a pity particularly if they cant utilise their cognitive and often articulate faculties to help themselves...

so you might see these people waging a seemingly senseless war of attrition on anybody they meet, but ultimately its not even a pyrrhic victory...no-one comes out of these encounters as "winners"...
