Question:
scratch this whole this.

Choices:
Yea -- It's for a new look for the LCA
Nay -- Keep the same look

I've always lived by the philosophy "If it ain't broke don't fix it." Question is, is it broke?

I am interested in hearing what you may have in mind, Fais. But for right now, I am going to abstain from voting.

I voted yes. I took a look around in one of those stronghold maps and thought it was really kewl. But is that the kind of map we want? And if it is, where do we put each type of combat? 1v1 in a central courtyard with balconied onlookers might be kewl. FFA outside on the "front-yard" of the keep? Headball in the basement? Idunno, but i think it would be kewl to change to a totally LCC map. One thing that I would like to see in the map no matter what style (keep/arena/woods/whatever) is a very honor based theme. IE: Shields with chivalric mantra's hung on the walls. Honorably posed statues. etc., usw.

Interesting... I would love to see the Stronghold perhaps remodeled slightly and used more often; it's a great map and has much potential. Some of the ideas Szerdi said, sounds cool... but overall I think the Stronghold is too big for an arena type game; not enough spawn-kill-be killed-respawn action. I see it as more of a Cycle type map... used more often by members then the general public. Potential for honor fights, headball games, team games, and some FFA, but probably wouldn't work well when open to the honorless, impatient public.

LCA is good in its simplicity... good for quick frags and small honor-fights; but when there's a lot of members and regulars about, I prefer cycle-type maps.

Would like to hear more of what you're thinking of, before saying more.

I also will have to wait out my vote. Im curious as to what ideas we would be having for the new map. Would it be possible to do the whole headball thing on our current map while the new map was being created? I like our arena. And if we have the ability to make the boxing arena a headball arena i guess the sky is the limit. So why not follow through with my GLORIOUS idea and do it? True other servers may use our same map, but things such as our rankings, flags, and soon to be headball arena definatley make us unique.

Gosh guys,

i never thought of using the stronghold map for a new LCA. That's my baby and I'd like to keep it as a seperate entity. selfish I know But I had wanted stronghold to be something for the member/minorstoenjoy. especially since it's only about 50% done.

N I ment a whole new map, feel to it ha would be extremely playable and flow wioth the current idea.

Soory to sound so selfish as to promote LCCStronghold.

My apologies,

Faison

Yeah I understood u meant a whole new map. I just was thinking of something along the same grand lines Wink But what I would like to see most i guess is an expanded LCA, as in more than 7 ppl. This isn't really feasible considering current map size. Eek

I've been thinking myself quite a bit about expansion; and I know Mano had ambitions of ten.  With the third arena converted into headball -- and our new sovereignty over server capacity -- ten may well be possible.
