Hoe-k this is what I have had for the past week. The temperature has been jumping from -25 degrees celsius to -50 degrees celsius. There is also a wind chill factor to add to these which made the temperature feel like -60 degrees celsius somedays.

To top the week off I get a 24 hour blizzard that covers Saskatchewan in 2 feet of snow. Most businesses and most transportation lines are shut down and a few people stranded in the cold trying to get home from the city.

The severe conditions can freeze a person in a half hour. Frost bite sets in after 2 minutes and hypotherma comes behind it within 20 minutes.

Now get this we Canadians actually are all out and about shopping and shovelling snow and loving it. Sickminded..... many think so but seriously. If you were stuck in your house all week wouldn't you want to get out?

Here are some pics from my house on the second floor looking into the coulee. There is my yard and a piece of Mission Lake completely frozen over with about 3 feet of ice and yes we drive on it.

Yeah, I have a bunch o snow too.... but in CO it never stays around long

Remember the bucket? yeah it's still buried... the little BBQ grill is buried as well. The big BBQ grill is almost gone.

I can't get onto the balcony to clear them out because my door is frozen shut.

I am far from there and in the flattest province in Canada. The Valley I live in is about the only deformation in Saskatchewan. I will have to get pics of the lakes and top of the valley soon. I had to take my sisters boyfriend home last night and I seen snow drifts and banks along the highway that were easily 12 feet high if not more. Bahh the snow isn't bad just a pain when we don't have a blade for our Quad.
