While jokes may have gone a little far tonight, you need to realize that you're surrounded by men and "dick and boob" jokes are the norm.

You guys have your fun, and I generally don't say much. But there's a point between having fun and crossing the line into sheer crude, humorless, obscene behavior. I left the game after a while, but as if that wasn't enough it was brought into Vent too, where I couldn't avoid it even in other channels.

Sure, it's all fun to you. But you also know that that is extremely offensive to me and possibly a few others; it's only general politeness and respect to perhaps show some consideration, and tone down the lewdness while you are around those of gentler tastes. Political correctness does not come into this, just respect between fellow members, and, I would hope, friends.

I am all to well aware that I am surrounded by men; indeed some people can never let me forget it. Does anyone consider that I am female, and as such might take offense to such joking?

Maybe it's selfish of me to want people to soften their tone in my company, but I also find it rude for people to continue something that so offends as to cause someone to leave all servers and break off all communication.


There's extremes to both sides; it's generally considered the best thing to both give a little, show a bit more respect to both opinions.

My two cents that no one can actually want, or care about.

To make this simple and short, those who I value I hold to a standard, of which I expect them to act accordingly. For the most part I don't mind a few good jokes which a few of you are known for lol, but when it gets to the point that all I have to hear is rancidities that I am being hit with every few seconds I would expect anyone to get tired of it pretty god damn quickly, although the arguement can be made that I chose to take offense to it of which I did makes little difference, if you actually value the oppinion or the friendship of someone for that matter you, I would assume, adjustment as to not offend them?? Perhaps? There is a difference betwine "wifish demands of political correctness" and decency. I hold the men of this club to a standard they clearly or not of the mindset to follow, my misfortune.

The second I saw a post here (before opening the thread), for some reason the first thing that came to my head was that someone would say "I love you, Yellow"... and I thought it in the split second that this loaded... how strange that someone said it! IREADMIND!!!!!!111111111

As for this, I found it hard to read both Yellow and Odin's posts without trailing off... I'll just show apathy towards the matter as I have nothing to do with it, as you all can tell. I am neither offended, nor am I pissing my pants with excitement when stuff like that goes on. Yay apathy .

Just because one is male does not mean that he must be a slave to his balls. Moreover, even if you are a slave to your balls, you need not announce that fact at every available opportunity.

This whole "boys will be boys" thing is insane. It's similar to, when a girl manipulates, charms, and ensnares, saying "but that's the essence of girls." That may be true, but that does not make it good. The essence of humanity is to destroy. It is only by fighting those three essences that you can obtain goodness. Men must fight their balls, girls must fight their deviousness, and humanity must fight their tendency to destroy. When this is accomplished, you have men that are honorable, girls that are gentle, and humans that create beauty. If that fails, then you have rakes, whores, and destroyers. Unfortunately, all too often in this often accursed world, the latter is the case.

Political correctness is something completely different and should not be confused with morals. Political correctness is a replacement for morals, not simply a different sort of morals than the ones that Yellowhair, Odin, and I possess. And it is a shoddy replacement.

Well here is my "two ⅓ cents"!

I was there the evening this happened on both vent and in the game. I know what happened. I too can admit that it was a little much, like Manowar said. But I feel that I wanted to have fun and joke because it was what I do when I come here. If you deprive me as a person to have fun is like denying me freedom of speech. The only way to communicate this fun is through type or voice communication. That being said, fun to me in the gaming world is jokes consisting of: sex, sexuality, daily experiences, world situations, puns, etc.) All of these are communicated through type and voice. If you can’t comprehend them you are either to naive, young, inexperienced or dull minded.

What happened Friday night wasn’t directed at anyone. Nor was it intended to hurt anyone. We were making each other laugh and if some of you can’t laugh with us then I am not sure why you choose to play with us. This is our play time and that’s how we treat it. Besides that this game we played was played before many of you became minors or even members.

As far as morals go, my morals are exactly where I need them. I am like most young adults in this continent. Many people have there morals that disagree with mine but I don’t push mine in anyone’s face. I take about as much crap as the next person in this world. I don’t let it bug me. Especially when it isn’t directly directed at me.
