I thought I'd give this to the members before the public gets a hack at it: back in early April there was some interest in an Arena server; is that still the general consensus?

I would love an Arena Low Cal !
Although big weaps are useless in Arena anyways hehe.

Arena Low Cal seems to be the best idea. We've done cycles before and they worked out ok, but AR is something we've yet to venture into and would definitely attract more people.

There are drawbacks with lines and what-not but I think these are things that we can definitely work through.

Is the Classic Arena AR map what you're thinking of Unter? I like it and I think it best suits us, I'd like to tweak it just a bit. Some of the things on it are ugly in my opinion.

I've never worked with editing AR maps, is this a major challenge compared to DM? Or is it maybe something that Fister (if he'd so kindly volunteer) could spend approximately an hour cleaning up?

I would most gladly learn Arena mapping! Is a thing I've yet to try but I find RuneEd had one great thing... A steep learning curve lol. Hard to get at first, but EVERY other RuneEd application seems very similar/familiar

i just don't really like the odin or the loki head myself. And the empty arena could use something to do while waiting in line.

You don't even have to mess with the weapons on the wall, the lowcaliberizer would take care of that, right unter?

Yeah, LowCalibrizer will work in a pinch; but for a long-term solution we should just switch the motherfuckers out.

And you're right, Mano, AR-ClassicArena.run makes a good basis to continue the look and feel of LCA; we could then teleport back and forth between the two for a continuous experience.

I'd be interested to see what kind of ideas you could come up with, Fist.
