Kinda like beating your head against a wall but, here i go. I have no tolerance for idiots, fools, theives or, especially one who feels like desecrating the LCC constitution just for the fun of it. I cannot see how he was given 6 chances and is still around, I though he was finally done away with like a bad apple in a basket, since when has LCC been the online U.N., but thats how I see it oh well...

I am getting to the point were I am almost ready to take him out and for good. He had the blaster worm the other day and I thought that might have put him out of commission for a few days. Guess not. The kid has to have some sort of complex. Rejection seems to bring him even closer and acception does the same. What does it take to understand NO, We don't like you, Leave us alone, Don't do that, etc. The kid is a brainless wonder and stubborn.

Although valid points, shouldn't we treat this according to the spirit of the lcc constitution?
Since he has come back I havn't seen him do anything wrong, so like in a match, shouldn't we not judge him from the previous antics he pulled?
But whatever. I don't think he adds anything and I don't really care if he goes. Just a thought....

I voted to keep him around. He's rather annoying and a pathelogical liar however, i think everybody deserves a second chance. He is harmless for now and until he does something terrible i think we would be in the wrong if we were to ban the poor kid. To be honest i think we have blown the whole lord nomics thing out of proportion.
I have the perfect soloution for those of you who absoloutley hate him. Ignore him. Dont comment on his idiotic posts or harrass him for no reason. He is a human being who doesn't know better and if you have failed to realize this then i think you have alot of growing up to do.

Rhoedd, if you'd even try to understand the problems we've had server-side with banning since we switched to Linux, you wouldn't be making this post.

As far as banning from the site, I've found this near impossible with the control panels. I do everything I can, people still post when their membership is set to be approved. I supposedly banned his IP from being able to register but he was able to anyway with "Blade~Hunter". InfoPop, our host, is supposedly in the process of upgrading the Control Panel so we can take it from there.

Besides, I play quite often under fake names now-a-days - for a number of reasons - and I see far worse offenses from certain members. Those people should know who they are.

Btw, Rho, please try not to be so dense and create these rediculous open ended posts. If you have a grievance - you have my MSN and my email. To air it out the way you do is childish.

Well, excuse me for my thoughtless attempt to obtain the general opinion of the club.

Please give me the name of one member who does any or all of the following: habitual lying, plagarism, impersonation, apologizing even as one is in the midst of doing that which one is apologizing for, server crashing, et cetera.

I'm not suggesting that Lord Nomics be banned for his pathetic playing style. I simply do not play him, which takes care of that. I'm suggesting that Lord Nomics be banned for his hypocrisy and all that other junk. I mean, if I really thought that his "Oh guys can't you leave me alone already" charade was genuine, I'd be happy to give him yet another chance. But time and time again, he's displayed that it's a clever act. And we know that game, now. Yes, he's following the letter of the law now, but is it a good idea to show the public that you can do everything from crashing servers to claiming others' work as your own, and still be welcome in these very servers in which many of the offenses have taken place?

Just read and actually comprehend previous topics regarding banning and you'll see that you didn't need to start this useless topic.

Well, last time I checked, the usual policy on banning was being set aside in the special case of our dear Lord Nomics. I don't see what's so doltish about wondering about the sudden reversement of that.

Hows about this?
We don't ban him now, but we make it abundantly clear that if hetrys to pull crap again he will be banned forever more without exception. I do believe that he likes playing rune and wants to belong in a community. I think he realized that he screwed up big time when just about everyone in the rune community was shunning him. He then left to go play UT2003 or something but now he has come back to the best game of all. So I think he knows that he messed up last time. So I think that because he likes the game so much and really wants to belong that he isn't going to do anything to mess it up again.
So now if he does we will know that he is incapable of change and he should have a ban placed on him.

Normally I would agree with you, Sock... but this kid's been banned at least twice, gone through about six "second chances", and constantly annoyed the heck outta and insulted almost every decent member here, while blatently sucking up to the officers and attempting to make a pity party for himself.

Also, he seems to be at his same old tricks again; though I'm not positive that this Shadow person is him or not (I believe it was proved in the past that Nomics used the name Shadow, though). If it is, the conversations going on are quite laughable.

Manowar; do I understand you as saying that Nomics was banned, but he weaseled past it in time? Rather then he was let back in. If so, could you at least enlighten us as to a course of action once the problems with the servers and control panel are fixed? There seems to be a misunderstanding about the position you and the other officers are taking concerning this.


Meh. This is ridiculous. I'm not one for advocating the active attacking of him and his computer, but can't he at least leave... us... alone? And that includes posting stupid, if harmless, things on our forum.

Exactly, at this point, it's hard to say that I can truly ban anyone from the forum. There is the possibility we can ban IP's from visiting www.lowcaliber.com alltogether, but this is beyond my control and would probably take a great deal of work.

As long as I'm able to, I will most likely ban him from the forum. (Note: InfoPop has been in the process of this "upgrade" for quite some time now; I have no idea when it'll be complete.) I will, however, allow him to play in the server. Lately, I've been playing with him and many others under fake names and he's been generally well behaved. I do see far too many "Bush-like" pre-emptive strikes on the kid. I'm not asking anyone to be buddies with him, but perhaps we can be civil? Someone needs to be the adult. I expect more out of our members and minors than I expect from him.

On an unrelated note, I've felt like I've been singled out and targeted by many members and minors over the span of the last eight months or so. I do everything I can for this place, and yet a lot of the times I feel underappreciated. I'm not asking for a pat on the back every other day - what I mean is that I feel some just don't respect me or the values that this club was founded on - values that I cherish and make my best effort to uphold.

This community is so unique, so diverse, so damn awesome, that there is no possible way that I can make every single person happy. I try to apply my life experience and the majority opinion on decisions that I make. I feel like when someone disagrees with a decision I make, they drum up support and complain in private, and eventually in public - this creates dissent and hurts our wonderful group chemistry.

I wish every single member and minor would take a look at themselves and ask, "Am I out for the betterment of the club?"

I hope that I havn't done anything like that. I am all for this club, it is an awesome place to hang out and stuff.
It is fun chilling with all of you old school runers on a great server and forums without having to put up with the general lameness of the rest of the population (most of the time... sometimes a few manage to disrupt the tranquilty)
Anyhow, I love this club, better organized and better people then I have found in any other clan througout rune. The only other two that I really liked was the Highlander clan and FSU, which are both broken up now.
Anyhow good club would much like to see it continue
