hey lads, ive been looking for a decent mic, but only ones i can find say that i need a sound card to rune them, the only sound i have is the on board sound, can i still run it?

Yeah man! Of course you can! As a matter of fact, I have my speakers/headset's speakers swapped between the sound card and my microphone connected to onboard sound (otherwise I kill ears on Vent).

If you have a mic port (it's usually pink), then you can use any microphone or headset you want. We recommend headsets, though, you'll regret not getting one on Vent. The best price-to-performance-wise for anyone (including me) is the Logitech Internet Chat Headset. Works like a charm .
